From PRIDE Total Elimination Absolute (2006): Mark Hunt vs. Tsuyoshi Kosaka

ROUND ONE: Due to the weight differential (70lbs), there are no knees or kicks on the ground. They come out and throw, to the ropes right away. Leg sweep by Hunt, to the ground and into half guard goes Hunt. Kosaka is pinned down, but Hunt not doing much. Kosaka lands a few shots from the bottom, Hunt backs off and stands. Kosaka up, Kosaka throws wildly, clinch to the ropes, knees by Kosaka. A flurry by Kosaka, and then a low blow by Kosaka. Kosaka even backed off and gave him a hug. Back to action now, leg kick by Kosaka, but a flurry by Hunt drops him. Hunt into side control, smothers Kosaka, but Kosaka looks for a rear naked choke, but he cannot get his legs wrapped. He lets go of the choke, figure fours the body, Hunt turtles up, Kosaka looks for the choke again. Lefts by Kosaka, lets go of the figure four, hammer fists as he looks for a possible arm bar, has a reverse triangle as he looks for the kimura. Hunt escapes, stands up and backs off.

5-minutes left in the round, both throwing and landing. Good jab by Kosaka, starts to pick Hunt apart and is also avoiding Hunt's shots. Right by Hunt, who is getting tired. Hunt lands a left and then a right, followed by a knee. Combo by Kosaka hurts Hunt, a flurry follows and Hunt backs off to try and compose himself. Good left by Hunt, Kosaka is bleeding now from the nose. Good jabs by Kosaka again, Hunt back with another good right, Hunt is slowing with the strikes and his hands are hanging. Hunt stuffs a shot and backs off. Kosaka is also tired as he stayed down for a few seconds. Good jab by Kosaka, but Hunt with a big left hook. Hunt muscles him down and starts to land some strikes before backing off. Kosaka back with a combo and knees, final minute now and Hunt with another left hook. Kosaka gets wild, calls on Hunt but Hunt forces him to the ground again. Mount by Hunt, short hammer fists, but the round ends.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins, and they come out throwing. Low kick by Hunt, jabs follow. High kick by Hunt checked, and then the left hook by Hunt. Jabs follow and Kosaka is bleeding more from the nose. We get time to check on Kosaka's nose. Back to action, Kosaka shoots and finally gets Hunt down and right into side control. Hunt scrambles and is back up. Jabs by Hunt, leg kicks follow and then one by Kosaka. Kosaka shoots, stuffed and more jabs by Hunt. Kosaka keeps trying for the shot, fails again, but takes time on the ground, since he cannot be kicked or kneed there. Hunt stuffs him, again, and jabs away at the bloody nose of Kosaka. Head kick by Hunt lands, but Kosaka is still standing. Jabs by Hunt, Kosaka shoots, fails and is down. He stands, and eats a right, down goes Kosaka and the fight is stopped.

From PRIDE Shockwave 2004: Jens Pulver vs. Takanori Gomi

ROUND ONE: Pulver blocking shots by Gomi to begin. Good jabs by both men, Gomi in and Pulver looks for a guillotine, but Gomi pops right out. God body shot by Pulver, and we get time as Pulver eats a thumb in the eye. Pulver is ok and back to action they go. Both work is a good right. I misses a wild right and the lands a good right. Pulver with a good jab now, and again. Leg kick by Gomi, Gomi landing more strikes now and another leg kick is checked by Pulver. Body shot by Pulver, good right follows and Pulver calls on Gomi. Low kick by Gomi, checked by Pulver. Jabs by Pulver, another and a left lands. Gomi trying to work the jab, but Pulver is blocking most of them. Body shot and a right by Gomi. Body shot and a right by Gomi as he switched levels very nicely. Both trade jabs, knee by Gomi lands and another from the clinch. Pulver backs off, right lands for him but Gomi keeps coming forward. Gomi starting to land the jabs much better now, body shot by Gomi and then one by Pulver. Good combo by Pulver, but Gomi right back with one of his own. Hard leg kick by Gomi, left hook by Pulver. Good combo by Gomi, a knee follows, uppercut and another knee. More combo work by Gomi, up, top and bottom and then a knee. More knees from the clinch, left by Pulver, right hook by Gomi and then a body shot and a combo follows. Gomi unloads and Pulver is down and that is going to be all as the ref calls it off.

From PRIDE 14 – Clash of the Titans: Wanderlei Silva vs. Shungo Oyama

ROUND ONE: Silva circles him, they throw kicks and miss. They trade WILDLY and Silva grabs a single leg, backs off, lands two hard shots and…the ref calls it off as Oyama is still standing. I suppose that the referee did not want to see Oyama murdered.

From PRIDE Total Elimination Absolute (2006): James Thompson vs. Kazuyuki Fujita

ROUND ONE: Here we go, Thompson has a sweet Mohawk going on. Thompson avoids the takedown, Fujita shoots and gets stuffed again. Fujita does well avoiding strikes, shoots, stuffed again. Knees by Thompson, clinch to the ropes and more knees by Thompson. Thompson lands another good knee in the corner, a left follows and he just keeps leaning on Fujita and landing solid shots. Rights by Thompson as he backs off, Fujita shoots, stuffed and more knees and a combo by Thompson. They clinch to the ropes again, Fujita finally lands some uppercuts from the clinch, but Thompson with more knees. Fujita shoves him away, but is still in the corner. Leg kick by Thompson, leg kick again and a third really hurts Fujita. Thompson is content to stay back now and throw some kicks and pot shots with the right. Another leg kick and then some knees follow. A right by Fujita, combo by Thompson and Fujita's leg is showing the effects of those kicks. Thompson pushes him back to the corner and lands more leg kicks.

5-minutes in now, another leg kick by Thompson, shoves Fujita to the ropes and lands more knees. They both throw wildly, a big knee to the head of Fujita, and more knees in the corner land. Fujita tries to shoot, fails as Thompson keeps landing. Fujita caught him earlier and Thompson's left eye is red. Fujita grabs a single leg, and Thompson falls on top of him. Rights by Thompson from the guard, body shots by Thompson follow. Fujita is bleeding from the nose, Thompson maintains control from the guard. Thompson stands, combo by Fujita and some uppercuts. Fujita continues to land, Thompson is tired, Fujita swings for the fences and DROPS Thompson with a right and THAT IS ALL! Fujita with the amazing comeback is awesome sauce.

From PRIDE Total Elimination 2003: Mirko Cro Cop vs. Igor Vovchanchyn

ROUND ONE: They touch and here we go. Vovchanchyn with jabs to begin, pawing away at Mirko. Mirko is just waiting, throws a kick and misses. Vovchanchyn with the jabs again, trying to get inside to do some damage. Misses a right, Mirko backing away and is very quick here. Right kick by Vovchanchyn, another misses. Jab by Mirko, Jabs by Mirko and the LEFT HIGH KICK OF DOOM KILLS Vovchanchyn! Why? Because the right sends you to the hospital, and the left sends you to the cemetery.
