  • Feel free to send in your thoughts on the show! If you do, please include your BEST and WORST fight, and score the PPV from 0-10!

ShowXC Elite Challenger Series Vol. II:

    -From Vicksburg Mississippi!

-Mauro Ranallo welcomes us to the show. Stephen Quadros is along side with him, that's cool. They explain once again that this show is like the SHOWBOX series, highlighting names we may have not seen yet fighting their way up to an Elite XC Showtime show and or PPV as well as some names we already now.

-They hype the card and specifically Krazy Horse vs. Boxer.

-They have the bigger ELITE XC Cage this time around.

-Jimmy Lennon Jr. is the announcer.

-We get video packages for Tierney and Luv.

  • MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT - Brandon Tierney (5-0) vs. Umar Luv (5-1):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: John Manley is the official. Here we go! They circle, high kick by Tierney misses. Leg kick connects. Good combo by Tierney, but Luv gets a straight kick to the gut. Good left by Tierney, but Luv back with a jab. Tierney takes Luv to the cage, they clinch and battle for a takedown. Tierney tries a hip toss, fails and Tierney gets a takedown but they get back to their feet. Kicks by Luv, but Tierney back with a combo. Luv gets a HUGE right and drops Tierney. Luv on top, but Tierney is ok and trying to fight Luv away. Tierney tries to work rubber guard, Luv escapes and then gets the back of Tierney. Hammer fists by Luv who controls the top. Luv works for an arm bar, Kimura try and Tierney turtles up. Hammer fists by Luv again and Luv gets a rear naked choke and Tierney taps.

-The Result: Umar Luv via RD 1 submission

Stephen Quadros is with Luv. Luv says Tierney is good, but inexperienced. He respects him and will not be immature, a hell of a try, but tonight he was the better man. He admits to being a little unconventional, but what works for him works, and he won. He thanks his sponsors.

-Mauro Ranallo puts over Luv as we see some replays.

-They hype upcoming Showtime boxing and MMA events.

-Urbina is not even 20 and has had a 11-fights in a year.

-We get a video package for Urbina and Lazama.

  • 195lbs CATCH WEIGHT BOUT - Hector Urbina (8-3) vs. Ray Lazama (5-4):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Josh Rosenthal is the official. Both guys are coming off a loss and Urbina with leg kicks to begin. More leg kicks by Urbina, he tries a high kick and misses. Urbina shoots and Ray stops that. They clinch and Urbina tries another takedown and fails. Urbina gets a leg and tries another takedown but fails. Jabs by Ray, high kick misses by Urbina. Good right by Urbina connects. Another leg kick and a right land. They fake some kicks and Urbina with a sloppy shoot try and he fails. Combo by Urbina misses, but Ray lands a right. Body kick by Urbina. Jab by Ray, Urbina shoots and Ray stops that. Rights by Ray, jabs connect and Urbina with a straight kick. Urbina in with kick, and then a flying knee slightly connects. Body shot by Urbina and knees by Ray. Jabs by Ray, he is landing more while Urbina is wild. Urbina shoots, Ray on top sprawls and to the feet they go. Great combo by Ray, Urbina throws wildly and misses a back fist and kick. Leg kicks by Urbina, they clinch and the round ends.

LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Urbina looked like a joke throwing a ton of wild stuff that didn't connect. Ray didn't do much but what he did do was connect and sprawl well to stay away from the sloppy takedown tried. I will go 10-9 for Ray Lazama.

ROUND TWO: Jabs and a right hook for Ray. More jabs by Ray, Urbina looks tired already. Kicks by Urbina are blocked and Urbina shoots, sprawl by Ray and nothing. Urbina shoots again, Ray sprawls again and stays up. Urbina finally gets a single leg takedown, Urbina gets his back but Ray slides out. Urbina gets a jumping guillotine on Ray! That was nice but Ray escapes and Urbina tries to work rubber guard. They aren't doing much here and they get stood up. Jabs by Ray, Urbina throws wildly again and misses. Urbina calls Ray on and throws more wild stuff and only lands one body kick. Urbina finally lands some solid shots. Ray tries to hold on but Urbina lands more shots. Flying knee and then an elbow by Urbina. Urbina misses a shot and falls, Ray on top and lays on him. This is horrible. Urbina hits him in the back of the head and gets a warning. Ray finally lands some shots as the round ends and then Ray hits him after the horn.

LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Urbina is sloppy and wild, but he actually landed some stuff and almost had a guillotine. He gets the round 10-9, but this is a very sloppy bout.

ROUND THREE: They are both gassed and Urbina starts throwing anything he can think of. Urbina shoots in, nothing. He finally works a takedown, but Ray is back to his feet. Urbina misses a high kick. Ray misses a high kick and almost fell down. They clinch, both land a few shots and Urbina with knees. They clinch against the cage, solid elbows by Urbina and knees connect. More elbows by Urbina and then a nice knee. Combo by Urbina and Ray answers back with one of his own. Knees by Ray, a good right and then they go to the mat. Ray on top and they lay there. Urbina tries to work a rubber guard, kind of. Urbina had a gogoplotta for a moment, he fails and they get stood up. They exchange on the final 10-seconds and Urbina gets some good knees and the round ends, and Ray hits him after the horn again. Asshole.

LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Urbina was still sloppy, but did a lot more and easily took the round and fight. 10-9 and 29-28 overall from me. That may have been the worst MMA fight I have ever seen.

-The Result: Hector Urbina via decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Stephen Quadros is with Hector Urbina. Urbina says he is a ground guy but couldn't take him down, but his stand up was good enough. He says he was baiting him to come in and it worked. Quadros asks him about the Gogoplatta and Urbina say she learned it on the Internet. They give him a MYSTERY trophy and never say what it is for.

-We get videos for David Huckaba vs. Jon Murphy.

  • HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT - David Huckaba (5-1) vs. Jon Murphy (3-2):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Our official is John Manley. Huckaba is the Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight Champion, but this is a non-title bout. They touch and Huckaba in with a leaping kick. Hey clinch, Murphy goes for a takedown and a HUGE suplex by Murphy! Huckaba gets top and has Murphy against the cage. Huckaba lands some shots and gets his back, but he backs off. Huckaba tosses Murphy down again and gets north south. Rights by Huckaba, and he backs off again. Rights by Huckaba, Murphy tries for a single leg, knees to the body by Huckaba. They stand and Murphy gets a leg kick, but Huckaba nails a left and Murphy is down and Huckaba gets top position. Murphy shoves off, but Huckaba still on top and lands lefts and rights. Elbows now by Huckaba, body shots and the ref stands them up, which I didn't agree with. Murphy locks in a guillotine and drops down with it. Huckaba fights to escape, he rolls and Murphy gets full mount and rains down on Huckaba! Huckaba is bleeding and Murphy is landing a lot of shots, Huckaba fights from the bottom and a big elbow by Murphy. Murphy is gassed and sits on Huckaba, some more shots now ad goes for am arm bar and he has it! Huckaba fights as it appears as his arm is being ripped off, he rolls and the round ends.

LARRY'S SCORE CARD: A bit of a sloppy round due to inexperience, but pretty exciting. I will go with Murphy 10-9 due to a lot of damage being done and the near submission late in the round.

ROUND TWO: They begin round two with Murphy getting a good combo, a big right and Huckaba is DOWN and OUT! UNCROWNED Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight Champion Jon Murphy!

The doctors check on Huckaba as he dead dropped to the mat. He is moving so I think he's ok. The replay shows a devastating KO. Huckaba is up and gets a hand from the crowd.

-The Result: Jon Murphy via RD 2 (0:19) KO.

Stephen Quadros is with Murphy. Murphy says he was strong as hell. He knew he would be strong and he had to weather the storm. They joke about the missed arm bar and he then says if he had more gas he might have gotten it. He praises his boxing background (Golden Gloves) and he gets a MYSTERY trophy as well. I guess you get one for wining, but they never explain it.

-Jamie Jara fought on the last SHOWXC show, defeating Jeremiah Metcalf in a GLADIATOR CHALLENGE MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE MATCH via KO. We get replays of that fight. One month between fights for him, damn.

-Kleinbeck is a Doctor and former TOUGHMAN competitor.

  • MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT - Jaime Jara (16-4) vs. Seth Kleinbeck (7-3):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: This is a non-title bout as well. They touch and circle, they do nothing in the first 50-seconds. Kleinbeck in with jabs. This is Jara's last Middleweight bout as he will drop to welterweight to defend that title he won. Kleinbeck lands a high kick, slightly, and then a leg kick. Another leg kick by Kleinbeck. Lots of jabbing and staying away. Body kick by Kleinbeck, and more jabbing and staying away. Jara in with a combo, and then backs away. Leg kicks by Kleinbeck again, and then misses a high kick. Jara dances and eats another leg kick. A good right by Kleinbeck connects. Leg kick by Kleinbeck and then jabs. More jabs by Kleinbeck connects. He misses a high kick as the round ends.

LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Not a lot happened, but Jara did NOTHING the entire round, so I will go Kleinbeck 10-9 due to the leg kicks.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins and Kleinbeck out with jabs to start. A good combo by Kleinbeck, Jara with a body kick but Kleinbeck back with a leg kick again. More leg kicks by Kleinbeck, Jara in with an overhand left, they clinch and against the fence they go. Knees by Kleinbeck, and then Kleinbeck gets a single leg slam on Jara. Kleinbeck on top and in control, he lands some shots and stays close. Kleinbeck gets him against the cage, Jara pushes off Kleinbeck looks to stand, Jara holds him close and Kleinbeck gets a more dominating position for now. They get stood up for lack of work. They both jab away, leg kicks by Jara. Kleinbeck back with the leg kicks as well. They both throw wildly, and miss. More leg kicks by Kleinbeck. Jara in, Kleinbeck nails a HUGE right, DROPS Jara and the fight is stopped seconds before the horn. That was a bad stoppage I think.

Seth Kleinbeck, UNCROWNED GLADIATOR CHALLENGE MIDDLEWEIGHT/WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION!

-The Result: Seth Kleinbeck via RD 2 (4:58) TKO (Strikes)

Stephen Quadros is with Kleinbeck. Kleinbeck says he got a little lucky there. He wanted to keep it standing and was able to do so. He just went hard at the end of a round, and sometimes it pays off. He apologizes for the boring first round. He gets a MYSTERY WIN TROPHY~!

-They hype the upcoming MMA and boxing specials on Showtime!

-We get a video package for Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett vs. Victor "Joe Boxer" Valenzuela.

  • LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT - Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett (18-13-2) vs. Victor "Joe Boxer" Valenzuela (5-2-2):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Bennett laid down during the introductions doing crunches and sit-ups. John Manley is the official. Bennett ignored the official during the announcement, no touching gloves. Bennett mocks Boxer early and Boxer with leg kicks. Bennett NAILS a big right and drops him. He pounces on him and lands some shots. He stands up and backs off. Boxer with a good right. Both land some big shots and shake it off. Jab by Boxer rocks Bennett, but then lands a solid right. More jabs by Boxer, combo by Bennett. They trade shots again and more jabs by Boxer, a great left hook by Boxer and Bennett is down. North south, Boxer lands some more shots and they get to their feet. Boxer lands more shots and keeps his hands down and jus takes shots. Boxer works the body and drops Bennett again. He has his back and Bennett taps from strikes.

Bennett lays down as the doctor comes in, and then gets up and sprints to the back.

-The Result: Victor "Joe Boxer" Valenzuela via RD 1 (3:23) Tap due to Strikes

Stephen Quadros is with Valenzuela. Valenzuela says he has been waiting for this and it feels great. Valenzuela says he cannot stand Bennett and wanted to knock him out. Valenzuela says he took good shots, but he refused to lose to a guy like Bennett. Valenzuela says he will fight Bennett again if they ask him to. He says he shut up his big mouth and Bennett is done. MYSTERY TROPHY TIME~!

-Mauro Ranallo and Stephen Quadros wrap up the show, discussing the main event and Bennett's lack of respect for the sport. They say he is an actor, a caricature and he needs to go to the gym and get serious. Unfortunately people like to see him and that is why he will remain a draw somewhere. They say Valenzuela got vindication and that there could be a rematch and there is a rematch clause in the contract. IS this pro wrestling now? They say people want to see Bennett, I don't.

-We get a video recap of the evening's fights.

  • Stay tuned for Monday Morning when "My Take on MMA" returns with a complete breakdown and final thoughts on the show~!
