Both men work hard for a takedown but neither gives. Matt gets the takedown and ends up in guard. Matt gets up while Dan stays in the crab position. Matt kicks the legs as the round ends.
Round 2: Matt drops him with the first punch.
Winner – Matthew Riddle by KO
After the fight, Dan lays on the mat and moans, clearly messed up from that punch. Dan has to be carried to the back. Rampage checks on him and Dan has no clue where he is or that he was just in a real fight. Dan is taken away to the hospital.
Elimination Fight: Luke Zackrich vs. Patrick Schultz
Round 1: Patrick catches a kick and then knocks down Luke with a punch. Patrick can't finish and allows Luke to his feet. They clinch and Luke gets a takedown. Luke scores with some punches from the guard. Luke gets the back and sinks in a rear naked choke for the win.
Winner – Luke Zachrich by Submission
Luke, having watched Chuck Liddell interviews, plugs the afterparty. I am now rooting for this man to win.
Rampage is upset that his cornermen aren't winning fights so he wants to borrow Forrest's.
Elimination Fight: Tim Creuder vs. Erik Charles
Round 1: Tim scores with a quick takedown. Tim passes to side control and quickly secures an armbar for the win.
Winner – Tim Creuder by Submission
Highlights:
*Brandon defeated Aaron by rear naked choke. Rampage left the booth to give him advice during the fight.
*Gerald beat Mike by Decision. Looked exciting based on the highlights and no one called it boring so that's good.
*Daniel defeated Jeremiah by Decision. Rampage and Griffin said that if Jeremiah knew any technique he would be really good. He took a beating in this fight.
Elimination Fight: Jesse Taylor vs. Nick Rossborough
Round 1: Jesse scores with a quick takedown. He quickly moves to mount but Nick uses the fence to push off and up. Jesse gets another takedown. Jesse once again moves to mount and gets his back. Jesse locks in a rear naked choke and Nick taps.
Winner – Jesse Taylor by Submission
Rampage thinks Jesse is a one trick pony while Forrest was very impressed.
Elimination Fight: Josh Hall vs. Matt Brown
Round 1: Josh goes for a takedown but Matt forces him to clinch against the cage. Josh tries for a trip but Matt stays on his feet. Dirty boxing by Josh frees them up. Matt throws a good left hook and jab. Josh gets the takedown. Matt goes for a triangle but Josh picks him up and slams him down twice, tightening the choke. Josh circles out of the choke but into hammerfists. Matt pounces on Josh and pounds him out for the win just before the round ends.
Winner – Matt Brown by TKO
All 32 fighters sit before Dana, Quinton, and Forrest. Dana says no one out of the 32 are pussies or posers. The 16 losers leave the gym. Dana congratulates the 16 winners.
End Show
Show Comments: Another good show with some good fights. The highlight of the show was once again Dana, Forrest, and Quinton on commentary as they just had too many comments to point out. This season is already off to a good start and based on the season trailer, it looks to get even better.
From the clips shown for future episodes this looks to be one of the most exciting seasons yet. I hope when this season comes out on DVD it has the full 16 fights from these 2 eps.

From the clips shown for future episodes it looks like this season will now turn into the same thing as every other season with the idiots at the house totally destroying it. What ambassadors to the sport these guys are. I wish they'd stick more to what goes on in the gym than what goes on at the house, instead it just makes the majority of the fighters look like goons.

I agree they shouldn't show anything in the house unless it's heat between two people who are going to fight.

I'd like to see more in the gym moments as well. The house trashing is getting old.
it does speak volumes that a lot of the guys who don't take part in the nonsense are more likely to be the successful ones - maybe that is the point they are trying to illustrate.
