-We get a video package for Matt Makowski vs. Eric "Bad" Apple.
WELTERWEIGHT BOUT: Matt Makowski (3-0) vs. Eric "Bad" Apple (9-1):
ROUND ONE: Jason Herzog is the official. Here we go as they touch and Apple gets a body kick, taken to the ground and a sweep by Apple into half guard. Into full guard, Apple has him against the cage and works to get half while avoiding a triangle. Apple looks for an arm bar, now the kimura but can't get it. Open half guard, Apple has control and works some good body shots. He goes for an arm bar again, but then goes back to the body shots. Makowski gets away from the cage, body shots again by Apple. Apple goes for the arm bar once again, upside down arm bar attempt now and he releases and goes back to the body shots. Apple again looks for the arm bar, still in half guard and can't quite get the full extension of the arm bar. More body shots by Apple, elbows to the thigh now and then lefts to the face. They move to butterfly guard, Apple pins him against the cage and Makowski pushes him off. Apple drops back in and stacks Makowski up and the round ends.
SCORECARD:: Apple dominated the round when he took it to the ground early. He had several submission attempts and good body shots, and easily takes the round 10-9, one could argue 10-8 I would say.
ROUND TWO: Round two begins, they touch and a leg kick by Apple. Slips on a right, gets tagged by Makowski but then lands a good body kick. Shoot by Apple, Makowski gets the guillotine and he has it pretty deep. Apple slips out and is in guard. Body shots by Apple, works Makowski to the cage as Makowski tries to keep busy on the bottom with elbows. Rights by Apple, into half guard goes Apple and now has full mount. Makowski rolls, Apple has his back and he gets the rear naked choke, that's all.
THE RESULT: Eric Apple via RD2 (2:04) Submission
Stephen Quadros is with Apple. Apple says the plan always tends to go out the window. Apple says the guillotine was tight, but he got back on track with the submission win. He thanks his sponsors and gives some shout outs to some paralyzed friends.

MIDDLEWEIGHT BOUT: Giva "The Arm Collector" Santana (11-0) vs. Jaime Jara (19-5-1nc):
ROUND ONE: The official is John Schorle. They touch and here we go. They circle, body kick by Santana lands. Jara misses a left, they circle, Santana in and they clinch, to the cage and a left by Jara. Body shots and knees by Jara, they separate and a body kick by Santana, slips and Jara gets a guillotine. Santana escapes, has cross side control and now full side control. Jara rolls, Santana keeps him down and now into butterfly guard. Half guard now, Jara keeps him close and Santana works some body shots. Santana up and drops back in to the half guard. Body shots by Santana, has mount now and then gets the back of Jara. He works back to full mount, Jara rolls, Santana has his back and lands good shots to the head. Santana could have had the choke by refused to go for it. To the feet, a knee by Santana and they clinch, knees by Jara and then elbows to the thighs. Santana with the takedown, lands some shots as the round ends.
SCORECARD:: Santana was playing with him once they got to the ground and dominated the round once they got there, Santana's round 10-9.
ROUND TWO: Round two begins and Santana misses a body kick. A good right by Santana, they clinch and to the cage they go. Santana slips on a kick try, Jara refuses to go to the ground and Santana stands. Leg kicks by Santana, a good right follows and they clinch, to the cage and knees by Jara. Body shot by Santana, to the ground they go and an ankle lock try by Santana, Jara escapes and then follows with a good left. Combo by Jara, they tie up against the cage, separate and a body kick by Santana. Combo by Jara, Santana ducks a left and then Jara DROPS Santana with a left, but refuses to follow up. Santana is up and they clinch, body shots by Jara and a left to the head. Santana gets it to the ground but Jara right back up. Great combo by Jara, Santana looks tired and is just hanging on Jara. They separate, clinch against the cage and elbows by Jara to both levels. Jara unloads with another good combo and the round ends.
SCORECARD:: Jara dominated the round and turned things around. Santana has to be regretting not going for the choke in round one, especially when he got knocked down. 19-19.
ROUND THREE: They touch and here we go with the final round. Jara stalks Santana, misses the left and Santana rushes him to the cage. Jara with body shots, gets away but Jara is right back on him with the clinch and elbows to the thighs. Another good combo by Jara, they both connect with good shots, but Jara is connecting with cleaner and stronger strikes. Body kick by Santana, great combo by Jara who is bleeding now. Santana tried a guillotine but Jara slipped out. Santana shoots, stuffed and Jara is back out. Leg kick by Jara, but Santana back with the body kick. Jara pins him against the fence, elbow to the face by Jara but Santana back with a big right hand. Body kick by Santana, another and to the cage they go. Jara is bleeding worse now as Santana is striking better with the right hand counters. Another good kick by Santana, they clinch and Jara tried a takedown, knees by Jara and then one by Santana and that's the round.
SCORECARD:: A very, very close round. Jara had good control and aggression, but Santana countered well, did damage and came back with good kicks. I go with Santana 29-28, but it could easily go to Jara. I suspect a split decision.
THE RESULT: Jamie Jara via Split Decision (29-28 Jara, 29-28 Santana, 29-28 Jara)
Stephen Quadros is with Jara. He has two bad cuts, and he admits to being very tired. Jara says the counter right is sneaky. He says he was avoiding in the first round, and that Santana got tired and he got stronger. He'll fight whomever they want him to fight.
-We get a video package for Malaipet Team Diamond (3-2) vs. David "Tarzan" Douglas (5-1).
-Malaipet came in overweight at 154½.
FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT: Malaipet Team Diamond (3-2) vs. David "Tarzan" Douglas (5-1):
ROUND ONE: The official is Jason Herzog. Here we go as Douglas storms out, takes Malaipet down and into side control. Malaipet up, but back down and Douglas in side control, works for knee on belly as Malaipet tries to lock up an arm. Malaipet rolls, but Douglas works for mount, nails Malaipet with several rights, Malaipet pushes him off but Douglas keeps landing. Full mount by Douglas, BIG elbow smash but Malaipet sweeps and into guard. Triangle try by Douglas, more of a head scissors now and Malaipet lands some shots to the body, elbows by Douglas, Malaipet escapes and to the feet they go. BIG uppercut by Douglas, they just throw huge shots, knees by Douglas, charges him to the cage but Malaipet caught him with a great right, Douglas looks bad and he finally gets up. A leg kick by Malaipet takes Douglas down and keeps delivering leg kicks to a downed Douglas. Herzog stand sup Douglas, body shot by Malaipet, jabs by Douglas, Douglas shoots, gets Malaipet down and is in half guard. They get stood up, combo by Douglas, Malaipet with a combo and then wicked leg kicks and the round ends.
SCORECARD:: Sweet Jesus that was an insane round. Malaipet had the great escape and hurt Douglas when they got back to the feet, and Douglas looked horrible when the round ended. I will go Malaipet 10-9, but shit, that was wild.
ROUND TWO: Round two begins and a shoot by Douglas, sprawl by Malaipet and he then backs away. Flying knee by Malaipet! An overhand right follows, jabs from both and then the leg kick by Malaipet. Malaipet is picking him apart with kicks and the jabs. Big knee by Malaipet, into north south position and Malaipet works the body with elbows and rights. Malaipet backs off, a right by as Douglas tries to get up and Douglas looks dead. He stays down and eats leg kicks, and gets stood up. Malaipet misses the cut kick, but gets another. Another leg kick and Douglas tries a sloppy shoot, gets Malaipet down and against the cage. They get stood up for lack of action, kick by Malaipet but Douglas gets him down. Half guard by Douglas, he isn't doing anything as Malaipet keeps him close. Some body shots finally from Douglas,, goes to side control and then gets mount. Rights by Douglas, hammer fists follow and he is connecting as Malaipet is trapped against the cage. Douglas keeps landing more rights, lefts as well and while they don't have a ton of power, they are all landing. The round ends.
SCORECARD:: Douglas is dead tired, but he managed takedowns and while Malaipet controlled early, Douglas punished him at the end of the round. It was close, but I will go Douglas barely, and 19-19.
ROUND THREE: They touch and to the ground they go, half guard by Douglas and is working for side control. Big rights by Douglas, to side control and then to mount. Malaipet is bleeding as Douglas works rights and hammer fists. Malaipet tries to keep him close, more hammer fists by Douglas and again no power but he keeps connecting. Rights and lefts, back to hammer fists and Malaipet jus has no answer. The ref finally stops it. Malaipet has a nasty gash over his left eye.
THE RESULT: David "Tarzan" Douglas via RD3 (2:51) TKO
Stephen Quadros is with Douglas. Douglas says Caesar Gracie made him, never die, never quit and never retreat. His strength came from Caesar Gracie. He is a warrior, this is what he does, and he is here to hurt people. He says the low kicks hurt, but he will always win.
-We get a video package for Shane Del Rosario (4-0) vs. Carl Seumanutafa (4-0).
HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT: Shane Del Rosario (4-0) vs. Carl Seumanutafa (4-0):
ROUND ONE: The official is John Schorle. Seumanutafa had a 15+lb weight advantage at the weigh-in. And here we go! They touch and Seumanutafa shoots, gets the takedown and into the guard he goes. Rosario keeps him close, Seumanutafa not doing much, short lefts by Rosario, Seumanutafa scoots him towards the cage and Rosario throws elbows from the bottom. Rosario gets a warning for grabbing the cage. Triangle try by Rosario, Seumanutafa picks him up and slams him down, triangle still locked in by Rosario, Seumanutafa keeps an arm in and Rosario starts to land elbows, Seumanutafa escapes and works for an arm bar, has it, Rosario escapes and Seumanutafa into half guard. Elbows by Rosario from the bottom, Seumanutafa passes to north south position, crucifix position by Seumanutafa but again not doing much. Rosario rolls and then tries to work off of the cage, Seumanutafa wants a kimura but the round ends.
SCORECARD:: A very active and fun first round. Rosario looked to have it with the triangle, but Seumanutafa got the escape and then worked for an arm bar. Rosario worked well from the bottom, but Seumanutafa controlled on the ground and likely took the round, even though he didn't do all that much. 10-9 for Seumanutafa.
ROUND TWO: Rosario stuffs a shoot, Seumanutafa down and Rosario lets him stand. Seumanutafa shoots, stuffed and Seumanutafa misses a superman punch. Seumanutafa is down, knees by Rosario, Seumanutafa up and gets ROCKED by a huge left and as Rosario follows up with more shots, the fight is stopped.
THE RESULT: Shane Del Rosario via RD2 (1:07) TKO
Stephen Quadros is with Del Rosario. He thought he had the triangle, and his legs cramped up. He admits that he was almost caught with the arm bar, but he was lucky to escape.
-Bao Quach was scheduled to face Reis, but he had to pull out due to suffering facial injuries in training. Cullum is a King of the Cage titleholder @ 135 (flyweight) and comes up in weight to challenge for the title.
-We get a video package for Wilson Reis (5-0) vs. Abel "The Silent Assassin'' Cullum (11-1).
ELITE XC BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE BOUT: Wilson Reis (5-0) vs. Abel "The Silent Assassin'' Cullum (11-1):
ROUND ONE: The official is Jason Herzog. And here we go with the main event of the evening. Cullum throws a kick, caught and Reis takes him down. Into guard, Reis works for half guard, gets it and then back to full guard. Lefts by Reis, Cullum with rights from the bottom, Reis looks to get the back, Cullum avoids that and now Cullum gets caught in an arm bar, but he escapes in a kick ass roll and stands. Good right by Cullum, he throws a kick, Reis catches and gets a single leg takedown. Cullum works butterfly guard, Reis has him against the cage, Cullum tries to walk up the cage and does. Reis pulls him back down and into the guard. Rights by Cullum from the bottom, elbows as well. Half guard now, Reis tries to get his back again and Cullum stops that. Half guard by Reis, Cullum up the cage, but gets taken back down. Lefts by Cullum from the bottom, back up and they clinch. Knees by Cullum, lefts by Reis and Reis gets a takedown as the round ends.
SCORECARD:: Cullum did well from the bottom and had a great escape, but they are fighting Reis' fight and controlled on the ground easily. I have it Reis 10-9.
ROUND TWO: They come out and a big right by Cullum, but Reis gets a takedown and lefts by Reis land. Full guard, Cullum busy from the bottom and lands good shots. Reis passes guard, but Cullum gets him right back into the guard. Reis gets side control again, works for the back again as they are against the cage, Cullum tries to roll but Reis gets mount. Cullum escapes an arm triangle, to the feet and Cullum forces Reis down. In the guard and now half guard. Body shots by Cullum, back to guard and Cullum postures up and starts to land clean shots to the face. MONGOLIAN CHOP by Cullum, but Reis snags an arm bar, Cullum escapes and he lands body shots on Reis. Hammer fists by Cullum to the body, Reis tries another arm bar from the bottom, Reis rolls and is on top and mounts Cullum! Reis works the side choke, great guard control by Cullum as he escapes. Cullum lands good strikes from the bottom, works for a guillotine and the round ends.
SCORECARD:: A great round overall with some great escapes by Cullum and work from the bottom. Reis controlled the majority of the round, and will likely take it. I have it 20-18 for Reis. Close round.
ROUND THREE: Reis tags Cullum early, Reis shoots and gets a single leg and has Cullum down. Reis looks for the back again, Cullum stops that and gets to his feet but Reis slams him back down. Reis in guard, body then head shots by Reis, Cullum keeps busy as well and as Cullum gets to his feet eh gets knees to Reis. Good knees to the body and the thighs of Reis. Shoulder shrugs as well, Reis looks for a takedown and Cullum stops that. Good combo by Cullum, Reis with a takedown but Cullum gets a good series of elbows. Cullum stops Reis as he goes for the back again, Cullum into guard and lands good rights and elbows. More elbows by Cullum, arm bar try by Reis, escape but Reis with a high crotch takedown. Reis gets the back for a moment, and now gets the hooks in and Cullum rolls, mount by Reis and Cullum escapes and reverses into guard, tremendous. The round ends.
SCORECARD:: We have a great fight happening here. Reis is doing well controlling, but I felt that Cullum turned the tide a bit here with his work from the top and bottom, and I have it 29-28 for Reis. Close round again.
ROUND FOUR: Round four begins, Cullum throws and misses with a huge high kick. Good left by Reis, leg kick by Cullum and then follows with a great right. A good combo follows, Reis shoots and Cullum has a guillotine, Reis pops his head out and is in guard. Body shots by Reis, Cullum with elbows from the bottom, Reis stands and drops back in. Reis stands, drops some rights in and drops back into guard. Reis passes into side control, then mount. Cullum escapes that, Cullum almost had an arm bar from the bottom but Reis back to guard. Body shots by Reis, Reis slides into side control and tries for the back of Cullum, but gets blocked. Final minute now as Reis controls from guard. Reis gets mount again, but Cullum with a great escape and to the feet they go but Reis takes him right back down. Reis lands some shots from guard as the round ends.
SCORECARD:: Reis controlled the round with a ton of riding time, Cullum is countering him well, but it just isn't enough. I have it 39-37 for Reis.
ROUND FIVE: Reis works for the takedown right away, gets it and Cullum tries to kick him off, they scramble and an up kick by Cullum. Reis into guard, half guard and Cullum is able to pull him back to full guard. Lefts by Reis, he tries to pass and gets half guard. Side control now, goes for the back of Cullum, but he gets it back to half guard. Side control by Reis after a good try to escape by Cullum. Reis rolls, tries the back again and Cullum pops out and to north south they go, but Reis back into the guard of Cullum. Reis with rights, looks again for the back of Cullum but cannot get it. Reis has him pinned against the cage, side control by Reis against the cage. They work to their feet, Reis muscles him down and goes into the guard of Cullum. Cullum busy on the bottom but time is running out and it will not be enough.
SCORECARD:: Reis controlled once again, and I have it 49-46, but it will likely be 50-45 from the judges, even with some very close rounds.
THE RESULT: First Ever Elite XC Bantamweight Champion Wilson Reis via unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47, 49-46)
Stephen Quadros is with Cullum. He says he underestimated his strength and takedown skills. He has to train harder and have a better game plan. He thanks his sponsors. He said he wanted to knock his head off, even with them being friends, but it just didn't go that way.
Reis says he tried a few submissions, but Cullum had an answer for them. He thanks everyone that helped him. He knew he had to work his cardio, he was in great shape but he got tired here. Finally he says that he will fight Bao Quach.
