EliteXC/CBS Saturday Night Fights III – HEAT: 10.04.08

-Gus Johnson welcomes us to the show and we see weigh-in footage, where Kimbo and Shamrock got into it.

-Now Johnson explains that Shamrock was medically disqualified and that Seth Petruzelli will replace him.

-Earlier today they talked with Ken, and he explains what happened and how he got the cut. He needed 6-stitches and he wanted to do the fight but the commission wouldn't allow it. He says he understands why they did this, but he feels that it is dumb because he has fought with a much worse injury. He was just getting loose, light sparring and the old cut got opened. He was looking forward to the fight, he thought he could dominate but he apologizes. He wants to fight and says the cut is nothing, and he just doesn't know what to say. Shamrock then says everyone wants to see the fight, he wants the fight, Kimbo disrespected him and he hopes that the fight can get put together again. Kimbo deserves a beating and he will give it to him.

-Karen Bryant talks with the doctor from the commission. He explains the injury, a head butt that lacerated Ken above the eye. Ken went to a clinic, got stitches and then he examined him. But the doctor says that a fighter with a recent laceration of that kind cannot fight due to the possibility of eye damage. He thinks 45-days should be the time Ken will be out before he can fight again.

-Gus and Frank Shamrock discuss this injury, and Frank says Ken shouldn't have been rolling so hard, and that he is hurting the Shamrock Family Legacy! DAMN! Mauro Ranallo is now here and explains that an opportunity has opened for Seth Petruzelli. He then hypes the working arrangement with Affliction, and the Nelson vs. Arlovski fight.

-Then now run down the card.

-We get a video package for Murilo "Ninja" Rua vs. Benji Radach.

-Benji Radach specializes in FACESMASHING FU~!

  • Middleweight Bout - Murilo "Ninja" Rua (16-8-1dr) vs. Benji Radach (18-4):

ROUND ONE: Jorge Alonzo is the official. They touch and circle, combo by Radach and another drops Rua. They trade wildly and Rua stuns Radach. Both land rights, but a right by Radach drops Rua, back up ad Radach is unloading on him and Rua survives that. They both land a HUGE shot and both to the ground. Rua tries to get control, lands rights on the ground and they make it back to the feet. Against the cage, to the ground and north south they go. Radach back up and they separate. Knee to the gut by Rua, Radach gets Rua down and Rua now works for a straight-arm bar, Radach escapes and is in the guard of Rua. Elbows by Rua from the bottom, Radach has a leg through and Rua gets the leg and then Radach escapes into half guard. Rua works for the heel hook again, they scramble and Rua on top against the cage. He gets the back of Radach, rights and elbows by Rua. Rua tries for a choke as the round ends.

SCORECARD:: Great first round there. Rua recovered well, but I feel Radach did enough early on to take the round with good damage and was close to getting it stopped I feel. I have it 10-9 for Radach.

ROUND TWO: A great knee by Rua to begin, another and now stalks Radach. High kick checked by Radach, another knee by Rua and then a leg kick. Rua eats a huge right as he comes in, that backs him off and Rua then goes back to the leg kick. Rua is pushing the pace, leg kick and a shoot is stopped. They clinch against the cage, single leg try by Rua and Radach counters that beautifully. Combo by Radach, drops Rua with a right, partial slip there and then Radach drops down with some big rights and the fight is stopped!

THE RESULT: Benji Radach via RD2 (2:31) TKO

Rua gets checked by the doctor and is still down.

-Karen Bryant interviewed Gina Carano earlier. They discuss the weigh cutting issues, and she says she has to re-evaluate staying at 140. They show footage of her getting naked. She has never felt like she has to explain herself. There is so much work that goes into the fight, and she loves it. Gina then says Kelly may want to break something beautiful but she will do her thing the best she can. It will be a tough fight, but she is looking forward to it.

-We get a video package for Gina Carano vs. Kelly Kobold.

-I love that they are showing the entire FEDOR vs. TIMMAH fight as a commercial for Affliction.

-We get a video package for Kelly Kobold, and then one for Gina Carano.

  • Women's 140-Pound Bout - Gina Carano (6-0) vs. Kelly Kobold (16-2-1):

ROUND ONE: The official is Troy Waugh. And here we go. They come out and a good combo by Carano, to the cage they go and Kobold looks for a single leg, but Carano with knees. Another knee by Carano, right by Kobold and they keep working along the cage. Kobold keeps looking for the single leg, Carano stops that and they separate and now a good left by Carano. They trade, rights and a knee by Carano. To the cage they go again, Kobold wants the takedown and Kobold appears to be bleeding a bit. Foot stomps by Kobold, Carano stops the takedown try and is out from the cage. They trade as the round ends.

SCORECARD:: Carano did more damage and stopped everything Kobold tried to do and appears to have tired her out. I have it 10-9 for Carano.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins and they trade jabs. Short right by Carano, she then opens upon her, clinch, knees by Carano and to the cage they go. Foot stomps by Kobold, some knees land and now looks for a standing guillotine. Good right by Kobold, combo and then works for the takedown. Carano gets away, leg kick by Carano and then they trade jabs. Left hook by Carano, push kick and then a right. Kobold looks tired, another left hook and then a combo. Kobold in with shots, Carano is cut by the mouth. Kobold sloppily in with shots, eats aright by Kobold gets the double leg takedown. Kobold postures up, lands some good shots and the round ends.

SCORECARD:: A good second round there. Kobold is tired and ate a lot of shots, but did get the takedown near the end and landed a bit before the round ended. But I still feel that Carano controlled and did more damage, and I have it 20-18 for Carano. It was close though.

ROUND THREE: Kobold quickly across the cage, to the cage and she wants the takedown. Foot stomps by Kobold, Carano tries to stay up as they get warned to work. Kobold wants a single leg, more foot stomps by Kobold and they get separated. Kobold in wildly with shots, big knees by Carano to answer. They go to the cage once again, knees by Carano again as Kobold works rights to the thighs of Carano. Carano gets a rear naked choke from the side, to the ground they go now. Right back up as going to the ground broke the choke up. Right and a left by Carano, body kick and a front kick. A body kick again as Carano ends the round with a flurry of shots.

SCORECARD:: Great last round there with Carano dominating again. I have Carano taking the fight 30-27, but I could see a 29-28 score in there due to round two.

THE RESULT: Gina Carano via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

Gus Johnson is with Carano. Carano says this was her toughest fight yet. She got aggravated with Kobold because she wouldn't stop. She just fought the game plan and it feels good to win. When asked about CYBORG, she says if she is next so be it. Carano thanks her papa for his inspiration and she dedicates the fight to him. She then thanks her sponsors.

-We get a video package for Andrei Arlovski vs. Roy "Big Country" Nelson.

-So we have a former UFC Champion facing a former IFL Champion, both fighting for Affliction, on an EliteXC show. Got all of that?

  • Heavyweight Bout - Andrei Arlovski (14-5) vs. Roy "Big Country" Nelson (13-2):

ROUND ONE: The official is Jorge Alonzo. They touch and leg kicks by Arlovski to begin. Nelson in, to the cage they go and Arlovski gets the tip, but Nelson is on top out of that takedown. Half guard by Nelson, passes to side control and lands some short lefts to Arlovski. Nelson in control, tries an arm lock by Arlovski escapes. Nelson to north south, Arlovski bucks out and Nelson stands and then drops back into half guard. Nelson again works for the arm, tries for the kimura and he now has side control. Knees to the body by Nelson, and they now get stood up. Leg kicks by Arlovski, they trade rights and Nelson back in, against the cage they go and Arlovski with a sweet knee to the face of Nelson. Nelson looks for the single leg, knees to the thigh by Nelson and Arlovski answers back with a knee of his own. They get warned to work, and will be separated. Leg kick by Arlovski after a good combo, right by Arlovski and back to the leg kicks. Nelson powers Arlovski to the cage, works for the single leg and the round will end.

SCORECARD:: Nelson seemed to work his game plan well as they got to the ground and had good control. Arlovski did well standing, I think Nelson slightly had the advantage but Arlovski also had some very good boxing A very close round, but I will go Arlovski 10-9.

ROUND TWO: Nelson rocks Arlovski quickly, but they lock up against the cage. Can't do anything, Arlovski with a great right and then a leg kick. Nelson is tired and Arlovski gets the clinch, knees to the body and then Arlovski unloads on Nelson. Jabs by Nelson backs Arlovski off, but Arlovski KILLS Nelson with a HUGE right hand and that is all as the fight is stopped. Nelson is NOT happy about this.

THE RESULT: Andrei Arlovski via RD2 (3:14) TKO

-They had interviewed Tito, and he said he is close to sighing with Elite. I'll believe that when I see it.

-They confirmed Alvarez vs. Diaz for the Lightweight Title on November 8th, the same show with Lawler vs. Villasenor for the Middleweight Title.

-We get a video package for Jake Shields vs. Paul Daley.

-I could watch that FEDOR vs. TIMMAH commercial all night long. So, so great.

  • EliteXC Welterweight Title Bout - Jake Shields © (21-4-1) vs. Paul Daley (18-6-2drs):

ROUND ONE: The official is Jorge Alonzo. They come out and a high kick checked by Daley. A jab by Daley off of the shoot try by Shields, Daley sprawls and escapes. Body kick by Shields, a jab follows and then the leg kick by Daley. Body kick by Shields, quick clinch and they separate. Shields shoots, gets the single leg takedown and is in half guard. He passes to side momentarily, back to half guard and quickly back to side control. He gets the full mount, Daley tries to work off the cage as Shields lands some small shots. Shields with shots to the body and then the head, rinse and repeat and he maintains the mount. Shields flattens out Daley, drops some elbows and then good lefts. Shields back to side control and then mount again. Ground and pound by Shields, not much power behind the shots but he keeps scoring. Arm bar try by Shields, cage was in the way and Daley gets into the guard of Shields. Daley with big elbows from the guard, but Shields controls the hands as the round ends.

SCORECARD:: Until the end, a very dominating round by Shields. I have him up 10-9.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins and a high kick by Daley is checked. Combo by Daley, another and he backs off Shields. To he ground they go, Daley into north south and they stand. Left hook by Daley, to the ground and Shields almost had a heel hook by Daley escapes. Great left hook by Daley, he stops a shoot by Shields who is looking tired. Shields looks for the takedown again, Daley has his back to the cage and is back up. Shields powers him down, into the mount again and Shields looks for the arm bar but back to the strikes. Elbows by Shields, three elbow in a row and Daley works off of the cage, more elbows by Shields. He is scoring but not delivering power strikes. Shields has mount now away from the cage, slaps on the arm bar and Daley fights, but taps.

THE RESULT: Jake Shields via RD2 (3:47) Submission

Gus is with Jake Shields. Shields says Daley is a great fighter, and this is the first time he has been past the first round in a year. Shields would like to go to 185 and challenge Lawler for the Middleweight title.

-We see Kimbo getting ready backstage. BAS!

-We see highlights of CYBORG killing a bitch via decision earlier tonight.

-Gus, Mauro and Frank all hype the main event. They talk about Kimbo taking the fight on such short notice due to Ken Shamrock not being allowed to fight. They also mention how huge this could be for Seth Petruzelli.

-We get a video package for Kimbo Slice.

  • Heavyweight Bout - Kimbo Slice (3-0) vs. Seth Petruzelli (10-4):

ROUND ONE: Troy Waugh is the official. And here we go! They come out and Kimbo stalks him, Petruzelli gets a push kick, short right and drops him! He unloads on him, Kimbo can't defend, and it is stopped!!!!!!!!

THE RESULT: Seth Petruzelli via RD1 (0:14) TKO

Gus is with Seth Petruzelli. Petruzelli says that it was a crappy situation for both guys, but they stepped up and it went how it went. They didn't train for each other, but it is what it is. He says it was an opportunity and he had the chance to get his name out there with the win.

Kimbo joins them and Gus thanks him for taking the fight. Kimbo says to show love for all the fighters, and it is all good. Kimbo thanks Petruzelli for taking the fight. He says it is all good and they will still have the after party. He walks off.

-This just in, Dana White is cackling as he swims in all of his money.

-Back from commercial and Gus, Frank and Mauro discuss the evening's events. They say Kimbo didn't appear to be in the right frame of mind, but put over the big win for Seth Petruzelli.

Elite XC is screwed. I think they made the Kimbo/Shamrock fight thinking it would be another easy victory for Kimbo, but still a big name like the Tank Abbott fight. Then they probably got wind from some people that "Hey, this guy is 44 and washed up and hasn't won a fight in 4 years, but he's still plenty good enough to absolutely destroy the face of your heavyweight division and your entire organization." Elite XC got scared, gave Shamrock a nice payoff and a little makeup on his eyebrow so he'd look the part and figured they'd just throw some other chump in the main event so Kimbo could still look indestructible.

    Oops.

That event was funnier than the last 10 years of SNL + The Office + Every Will Ferrell movie combined!

Pathetic, minus Shields and Arlovski's fights I guess

What a horror show! Elite XC deserves to go out of business for there continued pushing of Kimbo Slice the guy sucks...and finally got exposed. I was hoping Gina Carano would get knocked out in the same fashion. Seems like a stuck up bitch who can't make weight

I love how EliteXC was trying to make excuses..."Kimbo didn't train for this fighter, etc.". You're an MMA fighter, dude (supposedly). If you can't train for the fighter, you rely on your skills. This proves he doesn't have any.

When I tuned in and saw Shamrock explaining the injury, I turned it off and almost gave up on this company. Not that I had high hopes for them anyway.

Missed the first fight and dont care. Gina Carano is still hot as hell-I would smash as would everyone else on this site. That's all that needs to be said about that. I'm glad Arlovski made the card. He provided one of the only redeeming factors to this show besides Carano's ass and titties, and Kimbo getting bitched in 14 seconds. The title bout wasnt very entertaining to me either. I'm not the biggest Kimbo fan, but I'm not a hater-but that shit was funny in a way to see him getting fucked up in 14 seconds! Elite XC really is like a CZW to UFC's WWE to u wrestling fans. There's absoultely no comparison. Maybe CZW is a little harsh, but you get the point. I was wondering why Dana put the Rampage/Griffin PPV on free TV tonight, and then I remembered earlier today that this show was on.

Either way, I had fun. Instead of going out, driving drunk, and wasting money trying to get some ass, I bought a 12 pack and watched some Saturday night sports. It was cool cuz even though this show was kinda shitty, I had UFC to watch, as well as the Brewers/Phillies, and got to see the Buckeyes crush the dreams of the Badgers! If that wasn't enough, I'm watching the lovable loser ass Scrubs about to be swept out of the playoffs by Manny and the Dodgers! My family loves Chicago but fuck 'em!

WTF is Gina Carano's problem? She can't f-ing condition herself to make the weight class they specially designed for her. She seems to not really care about any of the fights she partakes in. She said it herself in the promo video that she "does enough" but does not "give it her all." She can't make weight, she can't decisively win a fight. She's hot as hell, no doubt about it, but someone with some more enthusiasm and passion for the business should be the leader for Womens MMA. Carrano will be out the door as soon as a better deal opens up for her in Hollywood or elsewhere. Instead of being the Trish Stratus of Womens MMA, she's like the Rock just waiting for her star to rise before she can bolt out the door - only unlike the Rock, she'll never have made a significant contribution to Womens MMA other than being a pretty face who got men watching the women even though she's not a high caliber athlete. I can't wait for Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson to kick Carrano's head off.

Get the fuck out of here with that Trish Stratus comparison, Manbearpig. Stratus is nothing more than a product of the McMahon marketing machine, Gina Carano is a highly skilled athletic fighter. As a matter of fact all you jackasses can just shut your traps. Gina Carano is better at what she does than any of you have ever been at anything in your lives.

    Epic FAIL of COSMIC PROPORTIONS

Kimbo is the biggest april fool joke in history

Jake Shields gassed out faster than Allistair Overeem running away from Serguei

Arlovski was totally TOOLED on THE GROUND by Nelson when the DUMB REFEREE decided to make them STANDING UP while he was mounting ANDREI and clearly dominating him on the ground.....

Elite XC is the TNA of MMA minus some real talents like Angle, Styles and Co

What a giant joke, they're going straight down to the toilets and rightfully so

    Nobody will miss them

Somewhere in Vegas one bald man is laughing out HARD !

That main event was b.s. Yeah, Kimbo got caught in the chin with that punch, but that ref did nothing to stop the repeated punches to the back of the head. Absolutely pathetic officiating. The ref showed like he was going to break that up, but then just kept allowing it. And the way they hyped it being like "Rocky", something smells and they're going for a cheap story. Good thing it was on free tv since it would've been criminal on PPV.

    Is this confirmed?

"Slice was so upset the fight was stopped that he grabbed Waugh. Florida State Athletic Commission Executive Director Tom Molloy stepped in quickly. Slice may be suspended for his actions."

I felt bad for Kelly Kobald. Girl really got in there and mixed it up with Gina, but Carano was "huge" compared to tiny Kelly. It was almost cute the way she was trying to pick her up and kept on trying.

Did anyone catch the look in Seth's eyes about ten seconds after he won the fight? It changed from "OMG I actually won fuck yeah" to "Oh shit, what the fuck did I just do?"

We need to watch the news for any pink haired silverbacks being found dead in a parking lot tonight.

Did I see Kimbo not only get knocked the fuck out, but cut too? The only way GinaC will make weight is if she gets breast reduction, which she better not. Can I be the towel holder for women weight-ins? I did enjoy watching the LA Trojans fuck up Oregon and LA Dodgers fuck up TheCubbies. Good 12hrs of sports.

The Most Boring MMA event I have ever seen...The only entertaining match was Chris Cyborg and she was on the undercard....what a waste...

Posted By: King (Guest)  on October 05, 2008 at 03:46 AM

This conspircy fake shit is a just getting stupid. You think the Nevada athletic commission would get involved in stuff like that you are crazy.

I think Kelly and Gina put on a great fight, Kelly had the right idea for her style but looks like Gina's takedown defense has improved greatly.

Carano vs Cyborg should be great, especially considering Cyborg fought at 148.5 on the card tonight, so it should be an interesting fight with no Gina weight issues. I just don't think that Gina's body is capable of hanging about at 140. She had to be there for eliteXC to be able to get fights for her as there is limited women at 148 and above (apart from Case, Cyborg and Toughhill).

I find it funny that people talk about Gina leaving MMa for other pastures (and she may do that later) ala The Rock. Once she's done with MMA I hope she does, fighters don't fight forever and hope she has a career after she's done.

For Women's mma (which is all I really care about), a big thumbs up.

For the continued: I'd smash that, the only good thing on the show is Gina's tittes, I want to be the towel boy.. thumbs down.

The main event was major short, but why is everyone complaining about it? From what I see, you're all Kimbo haters, so aren't you happy about seeing him get knocked out? Point is, nobody has done that to Kimbo, it was a big fucking deal and something nobody see coming.

That said, it happens in MMA. See Chuck Liddell. One loss to Rampage and now he doesn't look the same what so ever. HOPEFULLY Kimbo goes on and returns with a bang. Shit on him all you want, his fights always bring entertainment for the simple fact that you know somebody is getting knocked out. The Shamrock shit is bullshit though. I'm sick of these people promoting fights and then calling them off like this because of a bullshit 'STICH'. No doubht Shamrock could of fought, just pathetic.

Marketing 101 - Bait and switch. Kimbo and Gina bring the viewers in, they see the real talent on the shows and stay a while. Gina is actually good (although I can't help but feel she's auditioning for WWE) but Kimbo is 80% hype. If they're smart, they'll get behind Petruzelli who has charisma and a unique look, and now has a marketing point. They'll do Shamrock-Slice,hoping for a decisive Slice win to rebuild his image. Then have the Petruzelli rematch, and give the ball to the winner.

I actually watched last night and it was just sad Kimbo got his ass handed to him. They were wrong with the 14 seconds. After the ref called for stoppage the clock ticked off two more seconds. So Kimbo Slice got his ass handed to him in a whopping 12 seconds.

This show SUCKED flat out... I mean nothing was as bad individually as the UFC 9 main event but as a whole it sucked near that bad everything seemed dragged out and the fights were all pretty damn boring... I'm impressed CBS let them go over their time... and yeah I will be surprised if they last through Dec. 31 08

I love how EliteXC was trying to make excuses..."Ken didn't train for this fighter, etc.". You're an MMA fighter, dude (supposedly). If you can't train for the fighter, you rely on your skills. This proves he doesn't have any that the reason why Ken make himself excuse bec he fear to fight with KIMBO SLICE! All black people are most dangerious ever!!!

Seth sent that punk ass bitch mother fucker Kimbo Slice back to Youtube where he belongs. 14 seconds? Elite XC is shit!

I don't see this as bad for EliteXC at all and I'm not even a big fan of Kimbo. They still have the excuse that Kimbo took the fight on just hours notice after he had been preparing for Shamrock. To me that is legit, every fighter is different.

They can still throw Kimbo in there with Shamrock and that fight should probably draw well. Then if Kimbo wins that one you set up a rematch with Petruzelli. Another big draw to see if it was just a fluke win by Petruzelli. Of course if Kimbo loses to Shamrock then they are really screwed.

Mr. Pink hair won the fight, then the ref is in his ear for a good minute telling him something. His post interview he comes out and put Kimbo over. Wonder if Elite's owner wanted to cover up Kimbo's loss? Also, that announcer with the pink tie? Terrible, he practiced that voice before he came out? Terrible, just terrible. But on the upside UFC has some competition, you know now that Elite and Affliction need each other:)

Do any of you people actually like MMA, or are you all just new breeds from the wave of TUF?? That was a superbly entertaining night of fights.. Yea the main event was bs, but at the same time, super entertaining. Plus not one of you commented on the Ninja/Rodach fight. That was a war!! and Ninja got knocked the f*ck out! The Carano/Kobold match was good too. They didnt hold anything back, and I cant wait to see Gina face someone with some power like Cyborg... The stand up in the Arlovski fight was total BS. Not only was Nelson working the arm submission, he was workin to mount and continuously working at that!! No need to stand them up. That was a clear bit of favoritism toward Arlovski..... What was up with Shields gassing so quick?? Did he take Daley that lightly? For a moment there when Daley was stuffing every shot, I thought he might be able to keep it on the feet and KO him..... And as soon as they announced Shamrock being out and Seth Pinkhair filling in, I turned to my roomate and said "oh uh, Kimbo is in trouble. This is an actual MMA fighter now, not a washed up has been". And low and behold.. BAM, kimbo is on his ass...

Fight of the night was either Ninja/Rodach or Carano/Kobold fight.. Those were wars..

just wanted to write a couple things...we all know kimbo was supposed to win and i think they paid shamrock to take a dive....he didnt want to do it got "hurt"...then other guy steps in and they think kimbo will kill him so they dont worry bout payin him off...new guy knows that kimbo is probably gonna run straight at him so he gives a front kick to back him up and knows he has to throw everything in a punch to get kimbo because kimbo is still coming after him.....kimbo gets hit goes down and i dont know if it was just me but i could have sworn i heard the ref say your hurting him and tries to make it not look obvious he was stepping in to back the guy up.....but kimbo was out...thats when he got up and shot on the ref cause he thought the fight was still goin on and didnt know what was happening.....then a guy comes over and whispers something in petruzzelli s ear.....imo it was something to the effect of you better cover this up and tell them this was a lucky punch...
pretty much elite x should have not let kimbo fight....put him against crap fighters till he is like 10 and 0 then give him a title shot....if he were to lose then simply do what dana white does with ufc stars and put them in two fights with lower opponents then give him another title shot.....its gonna be interesting to see where elite xc goes from hear..way to kill goldberg #2 elite xc

I guess I dont understand all the hate towards Gina Carano and the weight issue. I understand that she needs to make weight, but if 140 is the weight class, why did the other female bout with cyborg, the combatants both weighed in @ 148.5?? I think they should just make it 150 even, but then again, I am not that familiar with the womens division.

And to that assclown samoaray25 who called her a stuck up bitch. I guess you havent watched enough of her interviews. My wife was even saying how she didnt seem to care for all the spotlight and fame. Even Gina said that. So just cause you hate people because they are popular doesnt make what you say right. Get a clue.

Kimbo got exposed, finally!! Actually, he was exposed against James Thompson where the fight shoulda been stopped in the 2nd round when he was getting tee'd off on for 45 secs. Wonder how they are gonna spin that. Both of the combatants were prepared to fight that night, just not each other. Both were in the same position, only Kimbo was more vulnerable to his marketing being hurt. A 2nd rate TUF guy knocked him the fuck out, lol. Makes me think that maybe Shamrock really woulda broke his leg.

6 for the Card. Carano v. Kobold fight of the night. I'm upset because it should have been Shamrock that exposed Kimbo's glass jaw!

Many that was the most shitted end to fight. Kimbo could have continued and how the fuck did he slip. Well RIP to eliteXC.

Thank god that disgrace to MMA was finally exposed for what he is, a good toughman fighter but NOT a mixed martial-artist, it's just a damn shame Shamrock wasn't the one who exposed his ass.

Unfortunatly, this could mean the end for EliteXC no matter how well the show does ratings-wise which is bad for MMA as someone has to provide an alternative to UFC for the sake of the fans, the fighters and the continued growth of MMA as a sport.

whoa lotta comments here. Is it a 411mania record for mma? Anyway I'm a card carrying Elite xc hater, but I gotta say it wasn't a bad show. No b.s. from the refs, and some good fights and finishes. Anyone that didn't enjoy the Rua/Radach and Shields/Daley fights needs their pulse checked.

I tune in to see a fight I didn't care who won (good thing for the Gina fight lol) It's not easy what these guys do, you have to love pain and have heart and talent. Kimbo learned a lesson in this fight and needs to go back to the training board or retire. I respect all these guys who do MMA or Boxing. Im curios to see what next for Kimbo.

Kimbo got exposed in his last fight, it was only a matter of time before someone knocked his ass out. Wonder what Shamrock thinks of this, seeing as even his old ass could've beaten Kimbo.
