Junior Witter vs. Devon Alexander Delayed

Witter made wait for his chance to reclaim crown

The WBC light-welterweight title fight between Junior Witter and Devon Alexander has been delayed by a few weeks according to reports. The pair were due to clash for the vacant belt on July 11th in Florida, but it has emerged that Alexander would not be ready for that date and the contest now looks likely for sometime in August. There is also a possibility of the fight being sent back out to purse bids. This comes as a blow to Witter who had been hoping to reclaim the title he lost to Tim Bradley last year.
