Kotelnik Says He Will Beat Khan

And he's doing it for his favorite actor. You'll never guess who.

According to eastsideboxing.com, Andriy Kotelnik says that he will beat Amir Khan, and do it for his favorite actor, JACK PALANCE. Yes, apparently the Oscar winning actor is a hero of Kotelnik's. Jack Palance, who was born Volodymyr Palahniuk, has ancestors from the same city as Kotelnik, Lviv, Ukraine. Palance is a hero in Lviv, and once visited there when Kotelnik was a young boy. Kotelnik still remembers meeting him,

"To meet him in the flesh was an inspiration and it made me train even harder at the gym." Kotelnik went on to recall, "When I told him I was a boxer like him, he patted me on the head and told me America was where I had to conquer if I wanted to make it big."

Kotelnik and Khan meet July 18 at the M.E.N. arena in Manchester for Kotelnik's WBA light-welterweight championship.
