Ruiz Challenges Arreola

The Quiet Man Speaks.
After Chris Arreola held a press luncheon with his promoter, Dan Goossen calling out Nikolai Valuev and/or the Klitschko Brothers for a World Championship match in America, someone stepped up. Unfortunately, for the Arreola clan, and boxing fans in general the former World Champion who stepped forward was John "The Quiet Man" Ruiz (43-8-1, 29 KO's).
After Goossen told the world that if Valuev or the Klitschko's don't step forward, Arreola was going to fight a former champion in California, Ruiz offered his services. Ruiz, training in a Las Vegas gym said that he would put up his mandatory WBA title shot against Arreola, if Arreola would put up his mandatory WBC mandatory.
According to BoxingScene.com Ruiz was relatively animated in calling out Arreola saying that: "Maybe he needs to push himself away from the dinner table and take a risk. I'm over-the-hill, huh? Well, I guess everybody thinks it should be a cake walk for him, but I'm not like his last opponent, who came out of retirement to fight him for the money. He wants to be the first Mexican to win the world heavyweight championship. Be a macho Mexican, Arreola. Walk the walk and fight the first and only Latino world heavyweight champ to really prove yourself. If it makes you feel better, I'll retire for a few days, and wait for your call. Stop disrespecting me and talking trash unless you have the rocks to fight a real champion."
