Canchilla TKOs Campos

The former WBA junior flyweight titlist returns to the 'W' side of fighting.
Former WBA light flyweight interim champion Cesar Canchila (28-2, 22 KOs) defeated Venezualan Carlos Luis Campos (14-4, 8 KOs) by 5th round TKO. The battle tlook place in Canchilla's hometown of Monteria, Colombia. Fightnews.com reports that Canchila was in control from the opening bell punishing Campos throughout the bout with solid combinations. The bout was stopped by the referee in round five on advice of the ringside physician.
Canchilla is coming off a two-bout series he split with current WBA light flyweight champion Giovanni Segura (20-1-1, 16 KOs). Almost a year ago last July in Las Vegas, Canchilla unanimously decisioned Segura to win the WBA interim light flyweight title, however in the rematch this past March in Mexico Canchila was TKO'd by Segura in four rounds. Segura became full champion on 6/5/09.
