Orlando Lora Signs with Gary Shaw Productions
Posted by Matt Knowles on 09.17.2009

Fast-rising welterweight contender Orlando Lora (23-0-1, 18 KO's) recently signed a promotional agreement with Gary Shaw Productions. He will make his debut under GSP's banner tomorrow night at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California. The bout will be on the non-televised portion of the "Shobox: The New Generation" card featuring unbeaten heavyweight contender Travis Kauffman and power-punching Tony Grano in the main event.

Lora first gained notoriety as a member of Mexico's 2000 Olympic boxing squad. His professional career has progressed in a calculated and controlled manner, and he is now looking for bigger and better things as he takes on seasoned veteran Hicklet Lau in his 1st bout under the new promotional arrangement. Should he beat Lau, the sky is the limit for one of Mexico's (potentially) next great stars.
