Chad Dawson To Honor Slain Connecticut Football Player

A tribute for a a victim in a senseless death.
Light heavyweight champ, Chad Dawson will honor murdered, University of Connecticut football player, Jasper Howard when he fights his rematch against Glen Johnson on November 7th at the XL Center in Harford, Connecticut. Howard was stabbed to death at a university-sanctioned event on October 18th. Dawson, who resides about an hour away from UConn's campus, will wear Howard's jersey number on his trunks. Dawson has also contacted the university about the possibility of wearing Howard's jersey to the ring. Dawson remarked, "It was a horrible tragedy for his family and his football team, and we definitely want to pay our respects to him and the whole UConn football team."
