Pacquiao Has Words About Mayweather
Posted by A. Shakoor on 10.30.2009

Despite training for the biggest fight of his life against Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao took some time to tell the media some of his thoughts about Floyd Mayweather:

"Boxing for him is like a business," Pacquiao said. "He doesn't care about the people around him watching. He doesn't care if the fight is boring, as long as the fight is finished and he gets [plenty of] money. ... I want people to be happy. You have a big responsibility as a boxer."

If Pacquiao beats Cotto, a fight with Mayweather is the biggest fight that can be made in the sport--by far. Manny isn't holding his breath though, and stated, "I don't think it's going to happen...I'm sure he doesn't want to fight."

Manny is in the final stages of training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, CA preparing for his November 14th date against Cotto. One must wonder if Manny is already thinking ahead, and using psychological ploys to get the big money fight against Mayweather.

if mannys camp would offer floyd 50/50 floyd would do it. arum is a prick and he hates floyd, the reason why the fight will not happen is not because of floyd it is because mannys camo

wise up junior. mayweather always goes for promo rights and more money in the purse. you're talking bollocks.

Junior: Manny is the number one pound-for-pound champion in the world. Floyd is not anymore. Why should Manny have to sacrifice part of his portion of the purse?

The talk thrown around's always been 50/50. 'Money' has priced himself out at 60/40, that's why you'll never see a fight happen.

Manny is a loser. Mayweather would kick that juicy boy's ass.

Regardless of who you support, I think ever boxing fans wants to see this fight. Here's hoping Manny gets past Cotto and they come to an agreement!

I don't like Mayweather, but for Pacquaio to claim he wants to fight Mayweather and then refuse a 50/50 split is bullshit imo. Obviously Pac thinks of it as a business too. At least be up front about that and admit straight up the only way you are going to do a fight is if you get more money than your opponent and you have zero interest in doing things on an even ground.

I mean seriously put up or shut up. I'd go so far as offering a 40/60 in PBF's favor if I really wanted to shut him up, but obviously Pac is scared too. Don't let people fool you, Pac is #1 right now sure, but PBF is actually probably the more physically talented of the two and he can definitely win the fight.

If they make this fight. It will be the biggest grossing in ppv buys in boxing history.
That depends if Manny beats Cotto.

He wins all his fights and makes lots of money, I'm not sure what there is to criticize there.

Is Floyd a long lost twin brother of Serena Williams? Just asking.
Change topic: Have you ever seen a Buffalo? Just asking again.

everything else aside, nobody should be criticized for taking the approach that what they do for a living should be looked at "like a business" - because it is. nobody is looking out for your interest so you better do it yourself. this business about 'big responsibility as a boxer' is a load of garbage. many athletes learn the hard way that when you lose half a step because nobody can stop time from passing the fans forget about you in a new york minute. better rack up the dollars while you can because it's a pretty small window.

Pac needs to shut up and go back to drinking his own piss....now go worry about your upcoming fight...not your next one...

Dont matter boxing is corrupt and always a payoff

I think the reason why Floyd will likely to lose the fight against Manny if the fight is made, is because Floyd's power punches weren't just as strong as Manny's. If you guys seen Manny against Hatton, Hatton got rocked hard on the canvas by Manny's left hook. I am telling you guys that Manny has the first step in speed, then his second step in power with his two hands. The fight between the two will or will not happen. It is up to Arum to decide.

I think the reason that Manny’s camp wants 60 and 40 to Mayweather that’s because their fighter is marketable than Mayweather. You know PPV and Promotions
