Andre Dirrell will have a chance for revenge against Carl Froch... as long as everyone can work it into their calendars.

The WBC, in a glimpse of clarity during a week of hypocritical morality, granted Andre Dirrell a rematch against super middleweight title holder Carl Froch. The two met in their first Stage One bout in October, with Froch receiving a controversial decision win. The fight included a point deduction for Dirrell for excessive holding, while Froch got away with something resembling a body slam at one point, as well as rabbit punching.
Dirrell is still the number-three ranked super middleweight by the WBC, and they will grant the rematch as long as it doesn't interfere with Showtime's Super Six World Boxing Classic tournament. In a general assembly meeting, the WBC announced their decision, adding that if the rematch cannot be made without interfering with the tournament, Dirrell will be the mandatory challenger immediately after the conclusion of the tournament.
