Strippers and Boxing...
On Wednesday November 4th, Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing and Larry Flynt's Hustler Club-NYC held a press conference to announce the formation of a partnership between the two companies which will entail several local boxing cards that will feature several of the Hustler Club's ladies doing ring card work, as well as entertaining and serving guests in attendance.
The first planned card of this partnership will take place on December 3rd, from the Manhattan Center in New York City. The card will feature several notable names including Mike Arnaoutis, and prospects Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin and Ray Robinson.
Quillin is coming off a year long layoff and is looking forward to resuming his promising career.
"I want to first and foremost thank Joe and Star Boxing for the opportunity to showcase my skills on his upcoming card," stated Quillin. "I am just so happy to be back and to be returning on such a great card. I am focused to restarting my quest to become middleweight champion of the world as you will witness with my fight on December 3rd."
Finally, Arnaoutis addressed the crowd and made clear that he plans on reasserting himself among the ranks of the junior welterweight division.
"I want to thank you all for coming, and I want to thank Joe and Star Boxing for this opportunity to not only be fighting in this great city of New York, but for a chance to regain my USBA championship," said Arnaoutis. "I am very focused right now. I couldn't' be happier with my team around me. I have a great manager in Jimmy Hartofilis, great promoter in Star Boxing, and I am extremely happy with my new trainer Ray Mcline. I am expecting a very tough fight on December 3rd but I am very confident that I am going to put on a very exciting fight and come out victorious. I am looking forward to returning the top of my division and it all starts on December 3rd." claimed Arnaoutis.
