Humberto Soto Meets Jesus Chavez on Dec. 19

They'll meet a lightweight.

WBC junior flyweight champ Humberto Soto will step up in weight to take on Jesus Chavez at lightweight in a 10-round bout on December 19. The two will meet in Sinaloa, Mexico and will serve as a testing ground for Soto who plans to defend his title at 130 next year.

"Fernando Beltran told me that the surest thing would be a fight with Chavez, but I want to make it clear that I am not relinquishing the junior lightweight belt," assured Soto.
