Boxing Stars on Twitter

Tweets from several of our favorite boxers, some topical and some just downright hilarious.

As many of you know, the social networking site, Twitter, has blown up to epic proportions within the past year. In the process, several of our favorite fighters have hopped aboard the Twitter bandwagon and have let us into their life and activities. Here are some of our favorite tweets from the past week...

Here's Lennox Lewis's take on Pacquiao's victory over Miguel Cotto, "Pac is a beast. It's that simple. His speed and skills are unbelievable. Great fight by one of the best ever! "

Shane Mosley was equally impressed by Pacquiao's performance but he also some other thoughts to share with the man who is now fighting in Mosley's division. "I'd like to welcome Pacman to the welterweight division with that performance, you've earned your place here. When your ready- the welterweight KING awaits!!"

Of course, twitter allows these fighters to let us catch a glimpse of their lives outside the ring as we saw with Jermain Taylor who as we learned not only loved the movie "2012" but also is offering up some motivational words for all of his followers. "Gnite twitters, and remember Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."

And finally, Twitter can be just downright hilarious as Andre Dirrell proved today with these words for his followers, " LMAO WHY WAS A JUST DOING CHIN-UPS IN FRONT OF MY GIRL AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE SHOWER AND MY TOWEL FELL OFF LOL WEAK!!! "
