Froch Has Some Thoughts on Kessler v. Ward

WBC, 168lb champion, Carl Froch, who is coming off of an opening round victory over Andre Dirrell, has some thoughts on this weekend's matchup in the Showtime Super Six World Boxing Classic:

"I'm hoping that Kessler wins because then he'll still have the WBA belt. I'm fighting him in my next fight in the Super Six so if he beats Ward then it means that our fight becomes a massive WBC and WBA unification clash and I can get my hands on his belt."

Andre Ward has the ability to ruin Froch's plans this weekend when he challenges Kessler Saturday night in his hometown of Oakland, California. The bout will air live on Showtime. Ward's next opponent in the tournament will be Jermain Taylor; who is coming off a brutal 12th round KO at the hands of Arthur Abraham.
