Is Ruiz Still Tied to Don King?

The promoter says he is.
Contrary to reports from John Ruiz' camp that they are free agents, promoter Don King insists that he still holds a valid contract with ‘The Quiet Man'.
"John Ruiz is my fighter," King said. "I have a valid promotional agreement that designates me as his promoter. I do not understand why he and his manager are representing that he is a free agent when that is clearly not the case."
Ruiz (44-8-1, 30 KOs) is a two-time heavyweight titlist and is currently in line to get a crack at WBA champ David Haye early next year.
