Pacquiao Runs For Congress, Fight With Mayweather in March?

Pacquiao has decided to run. Arum has decided the date. Mayweather has decided to agree?
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has been waiting on Manny Pacquiao's decision to run in the Philippine elections next year. Such decision is imperative for the date of his proposed superfight against Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Today, Pacquiao officially filed his candidacy to run for a congressional seat in Sarangani province, Mindanao, Philippines, and he will be up against a Shipping Lines executive. Since he is not running unopposed, the May 1 date is scrapped off.
Therefore, March 13, 2009 may be the date that boxing fans will be waiting for.
Although Roach suggested that Pacquiao would fight Yuri Foreman for a Jr. Middleweight title, multiple sources have surfaced with enthusiastic news about Mayweather finally agreeing to a fight with Pacquiao.
The date is all but set. Arum has also been reported to be planning to fly to the Philippines to discuss the fight terms with the Filipino hero. If Mayweather's word on the fight is true, then all it takes is for the smaller details to be sort out.
Negotiations are going more smoothly than expected. Stay tuned.
Anyone else think the rumors of Pac fighting Yuri was just a ruse to get Mayweather to commit?

honestly, i think Pac Man has more to do with the fight being held up than Mayweather does, or at least more than Mayweather is being blamed for. public perception, the whole "good guy/bad guy" thing, has kinda slanted people's ability to see facts. it just seems weird that Pac Man would run for Congress in the middle of his career, especially with Mayweather waiting for him.

I am glad I see 2 comments already on here already and NO ONE has hated on Mayweather yet....Reports are Mayweather has agreed to the terms ok....THAT MEANS FOR THE SLOW 1s here or just the blatantly F*CK Mayweather people out there...He is going to fight Pacquiao...now its on Pac Man to sign and say yes....Will he sign...all signs point to yes but what happens if he doesnt???? I lived in Metro Manila the last time that Pac ran and he lost big time. Someone above asked why he would run in the middle of his career and its because of how corupt things are in his providence. He wants to make a difference because he can.
