Pacquiao Sues De La Hoya, the Mayweathers and Richard Schaefer

The Pacman is ready to go to court.
411mania was informed this afternoon that Manny Pacquiao has filed a lawsuit in Nevada federal court against Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Floyd Mayweather, Sr., Roger Mayweather, Mayweather Promotions, LLC, as well as Oscar De La Hoya, and Richard Schaefer for making false and defamatory statements accusing Pacquiao of taking performance-enhancing drugs.
The lawsuit claims the Mayweathers, De La Hoya, and Schaefer knew that Pacquiao has never taken performance-enhancing drugs, knew their statements were false, but made them anyway out of "ill-will, spite, malice, revenge, and envy."
Pacquiao has retained Daniel Petrocelli of the Los Angeles-based law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP. About the filing of the complaint, Petrocelli stated: "Manny Pacquiao's achievements come from God-given talent and an indefatigable work ethic -- not steroids. He cannot and will not allow others to deliberately misrepresent his years of hard work and tarnish his reputation."
The lawsuit was filed in federal district court in Las Vegas, Nevada, and seeks compensatory and punitive damages for defendants' wrongful conduct.
Now this is LAUGHABLE...All the defense has to do is get other boxers and ask would you be against taking an Olympic Style Test for hgh or other banned substances...if the majority of them say no defense rest....winner Mayweather and that would be that...

things you wanted for christmas that mayweather agreed to.
1. 50/50 split.
2. size gloves you wanted.
3. size ring you wanted.
4. changing fight from may to march.
5. 10 million doller penalty for every pound over limit agreed to.
6. said you would agree to test if done by someone other then usada so you are not bothered in middle of night.
you then decide you wont do test unless nevada commision sais you have too?
Contradictory statements from pacman camp.
1. sacred of needles but has tatoos all over his body.
2. doesnt want ot interupt routine but last fight. did a movie, trained in multiple places in his country and u.s. and had no issue with cotto.
3. believes taking blood close to fight will weeken him but got blood taken from himself 14 days b4 hatton fight for h.i.v and hepatitis. did ok in that fight. and lately you seem to agree with nothing your promoter abrum wants. what are you hiding.

Strangely enough, virtually all of the slander/defamation lawsuits I've ever heard of were against people who were actually telling the truth, with the plaintiff doing the suit to try and shut them up... And, given Pacquiao's refusal to submit to any testing that might actually have a chance to catch stuff in his system, I'm betting it's the same situation here.

Why did mayweather didn't ask marquez to take blood test? Because he knows he can beat marquez with an unfair advantage in weight, talking about fighting fair. Haha. Why is he asking pacquiao to do blood test, to control this fight even outside the ring. This is just a ploy from gayweather. The bottom line is pacman will neat him up in the ring. He doesn't want his "0" be a 1. So the demands will not end as he is really scared of pacman. Pacman doesn't want blood test because mayweather demands for it. If the commision demands for it he will do it. Floyd hasn't fought anybody like pacman that is why he is scared. Run floyd run. Hide behind your gob shite dad's pretty face.

For the record... The fight hasnt even started and Mayweather already won! He got Pacquiao buggin' with this whole blood test thing.
He's gonna fight Foreman in March. After he snatches that title (in easy fashion b/c Foreman has no hitting power, so size difference wont be a factor) Bob Arum is gonna make Pacquiao/Chavez Jr. (What a joke of a fight!) b/c it will sell.

I have been reading articals on this site for over 10 years and I never wanted to comment until now.. This is the best thing to happen to mma and the mma world since TUF debut on tv.
For the past year or two a lot of people have been sayin how boxing is a dyin sport and mma will be the biggest sport in the world in few years. If this fight DOES NOT HAPPEN I (as a fan) think that the sport of boxing is finally done. The boxer of the year in my eyes is refusing to take a blood test to fight the best pound for pound boxer in the world(don't forget people he still don't got a lose). If boxing can get this super fight who do they really got left????
This is the time for ufc to take the top spot when it comes to this fighting market. Dana White has all the ammo and fights to make this a huge year for the ufc chuck tito 3, forrest tito 3, rampage comes back, mir and cain, brocks return, kimbos under contract and looks like a decent fighter, not to mention if gsp penn or silva was to be upseted at anytime this year or even a posibal gsp silva fight. And ufc debuting in boston this summer. There is a lot of money to be maid this year if they keep promting it right and if shane mcmahon is brought intothe fold, I can totally see ufc taking the top spot and boxing faddin more a way and the commercial end of a long time sport.

I would agree with ur statement..there are just some fighters I dont..1) DeLa Hoya...Mayweather was the one that said it would be great to have a rematch..It took Dela Hoya forever to even try to negotiate a rematch, dont forget that the scheduled Mayweather vs Dela Hoya Rematch was going to be in September..since it didnt happen DLH went on to Pacquaio in December and got decimated..I am not sayin Mayweather would have done that but he would have won way more convincingly then he did the 1st fight..2)Shane Mosley..I am getting tired of this 1..Mosley ducked Mayweather way b4 Mayweather shrugged Mosley aside..back in the alleged steroids days of Mosley, Mayweather was the one asking for a fight with Mosley and even in post fight interviews Mosley would be asked about a possible fight with Mayweather and immediately he said we gonna go on a vacation and see..He did that for 2 straight years..Now it came out that Mosley allegedly used steroids..and also take into consideration that he is damn near out the game all Mosley is looking for is 1 last big pay day..Mayweather is just like let this old guy get out of the game..Also Mosley has a proven record of losing to guys with more then average defense..Cotto, Forrest (R.I.P), and Winky..Come on it took him the final second in the fight to knock out Mayorga..a human punching bag..4) Cotto..It would be 1 last big pay day for Cotto but Cotto isnt the same Cotto he was 2 years ago..Mayweather would pick him apart..n I LOVE COTTO..he is one of my favorite in the game but after Margarito he just isnt the same..5) Antonio Margarito..I am glad Mayweather never foght him..For one the man has been found to be a cheat with loaded gloves..the argueement most ppl have about hating Mayweather is how much sh*t he talks..IMAGINE how much sh*t he would be talking if he fought Margarito..lost and then this whole plaster thing came out..no one would here the end of it..So its just better that he never fought him..but Margarito is done in this game and will never fight on American soil again..Margarito is just a cheater and should never be mentioned as a great fighter..

I followed just about all the development of the negotiations as well as the comments made by Mayeather and Pacquiao. I find that Pacquiao is doing the right thing to sue the Mayweathers who claim they are filty rich. Floyd who's showing his cash to the public and call himself the "money". Well, if all of Pacquiao's lawyers and advisers right, they could get a huge portions of the Mayweathers wealth if not all. Now for the fight, since Pacquiao know that he is clean and now the not so wealthy Mayweathers, Pacquiao will demand 80/20 and with all year round olympic style testing. Floyd will be so happy to agree (he will need the money to pay some of his debt). the testin will and once for show who really is the dirty boxer. Who do you think? Think of the life style of these boxer? Think of their character?
