Mike Tyson to Enter the World of Pigeon Racing

Taking on Tyson set to debut on a television near you...

Mike Tyson will be returning to the world of competitive sports and it'll be televised just not in the way you imagined. The former heavyweight champ will host a show on the Animal Planet entitled "Taking on Tyson" where Tyson willl enter the world of competitive pigeon racing.

Tyson had a known affinity for the birds as was well documented and hopes to give an insider's look into the world of pigeons and the racing circuit. The show will be shot in New York city and is set to debut in early 2011.

"I'm honored to be a part of this monumental show on Animal Planet," said Tyson. "I feel a great pride acting as an official representative for all the pigeon fancier's out there. I want people to see why we love these birds. It feels good returning to the rooftops of the city where it all started for me – New York."
