Erik Morales Heading Back To The Future?

Boxing seems intent on reviving 1995. First they put B-Hop and RJJ together years after it really should have happened. Now we're hearing word that Erik "El Terrible" Morales may want an old foe in a rematch -- Manny Pacquiao.

It's hard enough to believe that Morales (48-6, 34 KO) is still fighting. It's even harder to believe that he will be taking on Jose Alfaro (23-5, 20 KO) after a two-and-a-half year layoff. But hardest yet is that in a statement from a recent Televisa event honoring Mexican athletes, Morales said regarding the pound-for-pound champion, "Defeating Pacquaio is my greatest accomplishment in the ring. I remember seeing him cry after our fight. I would love another chance at Pacquaio."

Morales, who also said he would want another shot at Juan Manuel Marquez at 147, will fight Alfaro on March 27 in Monterrey, Mexico. The pay-per-view card will be distributed through InDemand as well as satellite systems for $29.95.

Then he knocked you out for the first time in your career, and then destroyed you in 3 rounds during the rubber match.
