Tajbert Elevated to WBC 130lb Champion Status

How did this happen?

Due to the fact that former WBC 130lb champion, Humberto Soto, has vacated that belt, the World Boxing Council has elevated Vitaly Tajbert to undisputed, champion status. The German Tajbert won the WBC interim super featherweight championship by defeating Humberto Gutierrez of Mexico last November 11th.

The title became vacant this past Saturday due to Soto winning a WBC lightweight title against David Diaz on the undercard of Pacquiao/Clottey. 411mania will keep you posted on the next challenges for each fighter.
