The Klitschko Trap

They laugh alike, they walk alike, at times they even box alike -- You could lose your mind, when Klitschkos are two of a kiiiiiiiiiiiiiind... (Apologies to Patty Duke.)



This could well be the weakest excuse since... well... since Monday's excuse of "Clottey-zuma's Revenge."

President of HBO Sports Ross Greenburg has told ESPN that one of the reasons you won't be seeing Wladimir Klitschko defend his WBO, IBF, and IBO heavyweight title belts on American TV against "Fast" Eddie Chambers is because Americans can't tell the difference between Wladimir and his brother, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.

I repeat: because the American public can't tell them apart, they don't get to watch them fight.

"For a while, Wladimir was hell-bent on maintaining a presence in the United States, and we were starting to break through with him," Greenburg told ESPN. "Unfortunately, at the same time, his brother decided to come back, so that kind of confused the consumer again in the United States. People have trouble differentiating."

There's no word yet on whether or not Greenburg has any opinion on Doublemint gum, "The Parent Trap," "The Patty Duke Show," or Geminis.
