Yesterday the broadcast program for the Kessler-Froch fight was officially presented at Mikkel Kessler´s gym in Copenhagen. Schmeichel being a proud Dane is backing his countryman but admits his British links mean he has a soft spot for Froch too saying "Obviously, I am pulling for my countryman Mikkel Kessler. He is a national icon and
will have five million Danes behind him on April 24. But having spent so many years in England, I really like Carl Froch. Just like Mikkel, he is a tough and a proud warrior. I have no doubts that we will see an epic battle between two real champions." Schmeichel is a big fan of the Super Six also saying "What more could the fans ask for than the best fighters of a division battling it out. (Showtime General Manager) Ken Hershman, (promoter) Kalle Sauerland and (Viasat Head of Sports) Peter Norrelund really did a fantastic job to put this tournament together."
Kessler himself is fully prepared for the Battle ahead saying "The preparation has been going fine, we have been working hard and all pieces are coming together. Carl Froch will not forget April 24. I have something to prove – for myself, for the 10.000 fans at MCH Herning and also the millions on TV. The Viking Warrior will be back – I will be world champion again on April 24."
