Marquez vs. Diaz II Headed to Theaters

Another way to watch the rematch, if you're not going to be home.

Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions announced this week that the July 31 rematch between lightweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Diaz will be available in movie theaters nationwide.

Tickets for Marquez vs. Diaz II "Fight of the Year: The Rematch" are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com.

"Summer is traditionally filled with action-packed blockbusters in the film industry and Golden Boy Promotions and Marquez Promotions are thrilled to partner with NCM Fathom to bring a boxing blockbuster to theaters which will match any action movie in Marquez vs. Diaz II on July 31," said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. Marquez and Diaz fought in a back and forth war in February of 2009 that ended with a brutal knockout win for Marquez; earning them the Fight of the Year award.
