James Kirkland to be Released on Sep. 17

The San Antonio Express-News is reproting that undefeated junior middleweight James Kirkland is scheduled to be released from prison on September 17.

The report states that Kirkland will be in a halfway house and will likely return to the ring on Nov. 6 and then again on Dec. 4, according to Michael Miller, Kirkland's co-manager.

Kirkland was sent to prison in April 2009 after pleading guilty to gun possession by a convicted felon.
