Bargain Prices for Froch vs. Taylor Tickets
Posted by David M. Lee on 03.13.2009

Boxing fans hoping to go to Foxwoods on April 25th to watch the mouth-watering WBC super-middleweight title match between reigning champion Carl Froch and former undisputed middleweight champion Jermain Taylor will be relieved to hear that they won't have to break the bank to buy a ticket, with the cheapest seats going for only $50! This is fantastic news especially during these financially turbulent times and Lou Dibella certainly agrees. "I love this sport and boxing fans in the live audience is what really makes the atmosphere exciting. We're not going to let the bad economy take away from what promises to be a great championship fight between Carl Froch and Jermain Taylor. With ringside seats available for just $200, the MGM Grand Theater is the place to be on April 25," said the DBE president.

Joseph Jimenez, Senior Vice President of Casino Marketing for MGM Grand at Foxwoods, also shares that opinion and is thrilled that the MGM Grand Theater will be hosting the highly anticipated world title fight. "We're very proud to be hosting one of boxing's hottest fights for 2009 and we're especially pleased to make it affordable to our customers as they enjoy an extraordinary evening of entertainment at the beautiful MGM Grand Theater as well as great dining and gaming on our wonderful property," he said.

This will be Froch's second fight in the States, having stopped Henry Porros in Hollywood, CA, back in April 05. The Nottingham boxer, nicknamed "The Cobra", is coming off his best win to date, a hard fought points win over Jean Pascal to claim the vacant WBC belt. Many ringside journalists believe Froch v Pascal was one of the best world title fights ever to be staged in Britain.

Jermain Taylor came to prominence back in 2005 with a pair of back-to-back wins over all-time great Bernard Hopkins. He's also coming off a dominant points victory over former IBF super-middleweight champion Jeff Lacy in Nashville, TN.

Tickets for Froch vs. Taylor and priced at $200, $100, $75 and $50. Tickets are available at www.mgmatfoxwoods.com, your local Ticket Master and MGM Grand Box Office 866-646-0649.
