Come in for the latest Wii pricing news, stay for the Guitar Hero 2 updates. This slow news period can't last forever and it's slowly starting to break! And you'd never believe it but Sony might get some good buzz for a couple days.
Wow. What a week. There has been a lot of stuff going on for me the last few days at work, life, and here at 411. And while I'd like to believe you are all interested in my work fantasy football draft the most relevant news for you all is I'm now the editor of 411Games. Exciting stuff.
Argh. My roommate is watching "Rocket Man" on some movie channel. I am embarrassed to say that I've actually chuckled a few times too.
The News
Upper limit for Wii price set Credit: IGN
At this week's German Games Convention Nintendo released a new tidbit. As widely suspected the Wii will be sold for under $250 in North America. The ironic part is it will be sold for less than 250 euros which converts to around $320. As if our European friends didn't have to pay enough for gas already.

Yeah, I'm talking about Guitar Hero 2 here. Recently announced for the November title are "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "Freebird", the latter of which makes me immensely happy. It better be 20 minutes long. Here is the confirmed track listing for Guitar Hero 2 thus far:

Black Sabbath - "War Pigs"
Butthole Surfers - "Who Was in My Room Last Night?"
Drist - "Arterial Black"

KISS - "Strutter"
Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Freebird"

Devil May Cry 4? Sign me up! This might finally get Sony some positive buzz again when folks get to use there system. Granted it will only last for a short time until people remember that it will still cost $600 to get the system before getting a game.
What looks good this week?
Even with the so-so reviews, the only game people are talking about this week is Madden. Not much else to say here. You know what it is. I know what it is. And if you've heard any of the countless reports, it seems to be less of an upgrade compared to previous years. That being said, it's Madden, the king of sports games (in North America).

Now what?
Not a lot of news combined with a busy week equals a short column. Steven should be in tomorrow to get you ready for the end of the week. Remember to watch your MMA for free this weekend with the Pride Bushido show on FSN Sunday... and UFC 62 on Saturday for that matter if you are the PPV buying sort.
