The Select and Start News Report 09.26.06
Posted by Vincent Chiucchi on 09.26.2006

Konnichiwa everyone. Last week was the Tokyo Game Show, where the biggest news stories were Sony making their keynote address and Microsoft announcing their plans for Japan. Here were the major news of the event.

Tokyo Game Show News

SONY'S KEYNOTE SPEECH [credit: Gamespot, IGN, Gamespy]

Before the actual show Sony presented a keynote speech. Here's a quick summary of the speech:

-After the introduction they show trailers for Ridge Racer 7, Virtua Fighter 5, Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire and Final Fantasy XIII.

-Kutagari starts to talk about how advanced the technology of the PS3 is and gives a history lesson of how the PS and PS2 became successful. Doesn't really say anything important.

-Mentions how the PS3's internal hardware may be overkill and that servers haven't reached the internal bus speed of the first generation PlayStation.

-He then mentions about the possibility of downloading Genesis and Turbo-Grafix 16 games for the PS3.

-Sony will have 15,000 PS3 units installed in shop fronts throughout the world. They're also considering having the retail kiosks used as arcade-style units, so people can pay 100 yen or so to play a game.

-After he wraps up his speech, a trailer for Afrika is shown. Still no idea what is with this "game".

-Now they go into a Q & A session with Kutaragi and a Sony employee. One question was why does the 60GB PS3 get the HDMI ports. Kutaragi then asks the audience if they really want HDMI for the 20GB, and since everyone says yes, he confirms the 20GB versions will have an HDMI port. The 60GB will have two HDMI ports.

-They've also revealed that the 20GB version will now sell for less then 50,000 yen (around $439) due to constant complaints. This price drop is only for Japan.

-The keynote speech ends.

Well that was really freaking pointless. The price cut sounds good, but it's only in Japan for the cheaper model. Until I get an HDTV, I still don't give a damn about HD-whatever ports.

METAL GEAR SOLID 4 TRAILER [credit: GameVideos]

A new trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4 was shown, this time with a preview of what the actual gameplay will look like. Plus, for those who watch after the credits, there's a big surprise in the end which will boggle your minds. Check it out:

PS3 GETS NINJA EXCLUSIVE [credit: Gamespy]

The upcoming remake for Ninja Gaiden, titled Ninja Gaiden Sigma, is going to be exclusively for the PS3.

Another remake? It better be drastically different then Ninja Gaiden Black or else this exclusive won't mean much.

SONY LAUNCH TITLES [credit: Gamespot]

Here are the titles set to launch with the PS3 in Japan on 11/11:

Genji: Days of the Blade, Mah-Jong Fight Club Online (what?), Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight, Resistance: Fall of Man, Ridge Racer 7, Sega Golf Club featuring Miyazato Family

The following titles will be released later in 2006:

Armored Core 4, F1 Championship (working title), Gran Turismo HD (working title), MotorStorm, Need for Speed Carbon, Enchant ARm, Railfan, Sonic the Hedgehog.

FFXII...FOR THE DS?! [credit: IGN]

A spin-off for FFXII subtitled Revenant Wings will be heading for the DS. The reason for releasing this game on the DS is because DS is hugely popular in Japan and they wanted to make a game for people who aren't into games, which is why he also comments on how the battle system will be simplified with the DS touch screen. Flight be a major part of the game, and the storyline, involving an 18-year-old Vaan and 17-year-old Panelo, will have little to no relation with the main FFXII storyline.

Awesome! So you can freaking release the 12th game already so I can start caring about 13?

METAL SLUG NEWS [credit: 1UP, Gamespot]

SNK Playmore plans to release Metal Slug for Xbox Live Arcade. Details on which version of the game and release date was not given. They've also announced that Metal Slug Anthology, coming in November for the PSP and Wii, will also include Metal Slug 6 as part of the collection (which also include Metal Slugs 1-5 and Metal Slug X).

Metal Slug fans rejoice.

MICROSOFT PRESS EVENT [credit: Gamespot]

Microsoft held their press event before the TGS about their upcoming strategy for Japan. Here's the quick summary:

-It will release the HD-DVD add-on for about $177 November 22. Coming November 2 they'll be releasing a new core system for $254, the XBL camera, and the wireless headset (which looks like a Bluetooth cell phone) for $54.

-They promised more exclusive games for Japan and more old-school games coming to Xbox Live Arcade, including Yie Ar Kung Fu (exclusive to Japan), Ms. Pac-Man, and New Rally X.

-They talked about their "do! Game, do! Choice, do! Live" marketing campaign.

-In Early 2007, Microsoft will host a Pac-Man world championship between the the top 10 players on the game's leaderboard.

-The following game trailers were shown: Winning Eleven, Lost Planet (which will sell for $71), DOAX 2 (which will sell for $79. WHAT?!), Trusty Bell (an RPG from Namco), and Undiscovery (another RPG from Tri-Ace). Demos were shown for Blue Dragon (retailing for $61) and Lost Odyssey.

Microsoft is really pushing for RPG's in Japan, and Blue Dragon looks to be their biggest hope in appealing to the Japanese market.

KING OF FIGHTERS FINALLY GETS A REAL UPDATE [credit: Gamespot]

For The King of Fighters XII, SNK Playmore will FINALLY be giving the characters of KoF the makeover they've been waiting for.

After over ten years of the same old archaic graphics, IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!!

METEOS GOES ONLINE [credit: Gamespot]

The ever-awesome DS puzzle game Meteos is coming to the PC in Japan. The game will be free to download through NHN Japan's game protal site, and users will only pay for purchasing items. The game will feature many different multiplayer modes, new items, and animated gamers' avatars with various costume and accessories.

OH PLEASE let this come to the US! Or at least make a Meteos 2 for the DS.

GRAN TURISMO CAUSES GRAND CONFUSION [credit: 1UP]

For the upcoming release of Gran Turismo HD, two modes will be featured: Premium and Classic. Premium will feature "cars and tracks like never before in full high definition quality," and Classic focuses on online aspects such as downloading up to 770 car models and 51 tracks.

So it looks like you'll be doing a lot of microtransactions for the game. Solution: get Forza Motorsport 2.

SONY TO MICROSOFT: "YOUR SYSTEM STILL SUCKS" [credit: 1UP]

Following Microsoft's announcement for the HD-DVD drive add-on, Dave Karraker, Sony Computer Entertainment of America's newly appointed senior director of Corporate Communications, had this to say:

"It's unfortunate that Microsoft's external HD-DVD drive will not enhance the experience at all for the gamer. Sony realizes that to truly take gaming into the next generation requires a larger data format for both games and movies. PS3 uses the Blu-ray format for gaming, giving developers 50 GB of high-definition storage on a single disc, while Microsoft's 9 GB DVD gaming format is an obstacle for storing HD content. Furthermore, Microsoft's announced HD games patch is really just a compatibility feature -- upscaling lower-resolution content does not make it Full HD (1080p), something that PS3 can do out of the box."

And you know what Sony? That's EXACTLY why lots of people are not interested in your new freaking system. If you want to talk about how Blu-Ray is so great, how about actually launching more then 500,000 units and not delaying the system in Europe?

UNREAL TOURNAMENT MODS FOR PS3 [credit: 1UP]

For the PS3 release of Unreal Tournament 2007, Sony is enabling Epic Games to give gans access to create their own content using Epic Games' development tools. Usually done with PC games, this will be the very first time it will be done for console users. The reason for the PS3 having this feature and not Xbox 360 is because Epic's CEO Tim Sweeney says Xbox Live is "quite negative toward user-created content."

At least the mod community has an excuse to buy a PS3.

Well that was all the big news items at the Tokyo Game Show. Perhaps next week I'll get around to hottest games that were previewed, but for now, time for non-Toyko news.

News that didn't happen in Tokyo

WARNER TO END FORWAT WAR? [credit: 1UP]

The bickering between the Blu-Ray and HD-DVD formats may come to an end, as VNUnet reports that Warner Home Video recently applied for a patent that would create a single disc that can hold Blu-Ray, HD-DVD, and DVD information at the same time.

That's pretty interesting, but until it actually happens, I'm not keeping my hopes up.

NEWS THAT MAKES SONY LOOK LIKE IDIOTS [credit: Evil Avatar]

Only the Xbox 360 version of Tony Hawk's Project 8 is going to be playable online, because apparently Sony didn't deliver their hardware in time to Neversoft. The Wii version was already known to not have online play as Nintendo seems to be going for a very cautious approach.

It's like even when there seems to be positive Sony news, there's as much negative Sony news to bring it down. BTW Sony, what was that thing you said of why Xbox 360 doesn't provide enhancing gaming experience?

WII TRYING TO NOT BE CALLED "KIDDIE" [credit: Gamasutra]

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime says the company is talking with publishers, including Take-TWo Interactive, on release more mature rated content on the Wii. While a GTA game is only a possibility right now, EA's The Godfather will be on the Wii.

Sounds great, but a GTA game for the Wii? I doubt that'll happen. But I do think we'll see something like Manhunt where you'll use the Wiimote to stab people to death. Hopefully it'll actually be better then Manhunt.

RATED M FOR YOUR MOTHER [credit: GameDaily]

Nintendo president Satora Iwata believes the key to the Wii's success is trying to attact mothers and women in general into playing the console. He says it will be a challenge, "like trying to sell cosmetics to men".

This reminds me of a time about 15 years ago when my older brother was trying to teach my mom how to play Super Mario Bros. on our NES. Of course she never did get into gaming, so maybe the Wii will stand a better chance.

UBISOFT GAMES LEAKED [credit: 1UP]

Seems somebody went through Ubisofit's FTP and was able to get 2GB worth of news media (concept art, videos, and screen shots) for many of their titles. The following games were leaked:

-Assassin's Creed
-FarCry 2 (unannounced)
-FarCry PSP (unannounced)
-FarCry Wii
-Lost
-Naruto 360
-Open Season
-Prince of Persia (unannounced, except for Wii)
-Rainbow Six: Vegas
-Rocky PSP (unannounced)
-Splinter Cell Double Agent
-Splinter Cell 5 (unannounced)
-Surf's Up (unannounced)
-Star Wars: Lethal Alliance
-Shaun White Snowboarding
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
-TMNT GBA

Well Ubisoft must be feeling really stupid right about now. Or perhaps...they let it happen on PURPOSE?! [/conspiracy]

Tidbit News; News I just didn't feel like detailing.

-A Gamepro editor who checked out a PS3 at a development studio says that there was minial heat to the unit and does not make any fan noises. [credit: Gamepro.com]

-An analyst think that Sony cutting the price for the PS3 in Japan before it even goes on sale is ridiculous. Apparently some people really are willing to pay over $500 for a game system. [credit: Gamasutra]

-Here's what Wii boxart may look like:
[credit: Joystiq]

-Here's a bit of positive Sony news: they reached the #1 spot in Japan this week with Minna no Tennis (aka Hot Shots Tennis). [credit: Gamasutra]

-And here's the negative news to negate that; Universal decided they're not going to support the Blu-Ray format. [credit: Gamepro.com]

-Hoping to copy Activision's success with Tony Hawk, EA is going to release they own skating game called...Skate. [credit: GameDaily]

-The worst game show ever, Deal or No Deal, is getting it's own PC games. Folks, if you want to play Deal or No Deal but don't want to pay $20, play it for free at pacdudegames.com. It's called "Meal or No Meal" but it's 95% the same thing. [credit: Dignews.com]

-In less then two weeks, Lego Star Wars II sold over 1.1 million copies, probably because originals are always better then "pre-se-quels". [credit: GameDaily]

The Other Crap

OMG FEEDBACK?

Todd Vote offers a suggestion.

"Meh, I'd still rather go listen to some cheese. Preferably Mozzarella."

Dude, if you are going to go listen to cheese, I would definitely have to suggest Richard Cheese.

Taking his suggestion I listened to a song of his at YouTube. Apparently this guy and his band do lounge version parodies of songs, and since I always dig the parodies, I've got a new favorite artist! Thanks Todd.

ANY SONY FANBOYS OUT THERE?

It must really piss off the hardcore Sony fanboys that every week we're posting negative Sony comments and news. But with all this negative publicity for Sony's PS3, I'm starting to wonder if there are any PS3 fanboys left to defend the system.

Are you a fanboy of Sony and the PS3? If so, please write to me and explain why, for any reason at all, you're staying on Team PS3.

KURT FREAKING ANGLE IN TNA

I know this isn't the Wresting section, but I just can't help it. Kurt Angle is coming to TNA, and I'm really glad for TNA that they've got such a major name joining them. I almost felt guilty because Angle seriously needs rehab and I shouldn't be encouraging it, but then again, it's Angle decision to join TNA and keep on wrestling, so God forbid anything happens to him that would end his career for good, it's all on his shoulders now.

And so ends this big week of gaming news. I hope next week be somewhat slower so I can relax for a bit. Or maybe I'll file everything under "Tidbit News". Anyway, right below is Part 2 of my CGI recap. See you in 7.

Championship Gaming Invitational, Part 2

We start with a preview of what's coming up, including the return of Matt "Zyos" Leto, a master of DOA4 who might take on his apprentice, and the final match of Battlefield 2. After interviews with Warchild on their Battlefield comeback and Zyos on being a two gamer athelete, we continue with the Halo 2 Quarterfinals.

Halo 2 QF: Justin "ImNotGarbage" Barnes vs. Matt "Zyos" Leto

Rules are the same, stage is still Lockout.

Results: Zyos and Garbage head towards each other and Zyos gets the first frag, but then tries to jump a gap and loses it right away! Garbage scores the next frag, then Zyos gets his frag back with some long distance shooting. Zyos chases down Garbage and shoots him down to take the lead. Zyos then gets too close to Garbage and Garbage bashes him with his gun to tie it up. Zyos gets his revenge with another frag, but then Garbage charges from around a corner and ties it up again, but once again Zyos takes back the lead, and scores the next frag after to make sure he keeps it. Garbage is able to get in a sneak attack but fails to kill Zyos as runs away. Zyos then kills Garbage with some long distance shooting. Garbage charges to where Zyos is and kills him to make it 6-4. 30 seconds left and it seems Garbage is not going to get the frags needed to win, and Zyos makes sure of that by killing him at the last second. A pretty good back and forth match.

Before the next match we get a look at Alexis "Tart" Hebert, who talks about being a girl gamer and hanging with the others "geeks" in high school.

Halo 2 QF: Jason "Fiddyownz" Hodges vs. Alexis "Tart" Hebert

Results: Fiddy takes the first frag, then chases her down for the next frag. Each of them now charge from around the corners in and shoot from close range, with Tart coming out on top. Fiddy runs to the roof and shoots Tart from above to score a frag, then as a taunt shoots her while she's dead. Tart is laughing it off as Fiddy kills her yet again and does the taunt once more. Fiddy once again kills from above and does the taunt. Fiddy makes it 6-1, and despite Tart trying to shoot and strafe, Fiddy scores yet again to make it 7-1. Once again Fiddy killls from above, then shoots an exploding box that Tart was behind and forces her into suicide, now making the score 8-0. Tart takes off her headset and is pissed off. Tart then takes her frag back and does the shooting taunt as well. 30 seconds left as Fiddy another frag and does a bit of celebration. This match was nothing but absolute ownage, but at least there was some funny parts.

DOA4 QF: Emmanuel "Master" Rodriguez vs. Jeff "Cyberevil" Rybicki
Both players play as Ryu and fight in a street market stage.

Results: Master pretty much kicks Cyberevil's ass for the first four rounds. He also likes to finish off Cyberevil using the "Spinning Piledriver" throw. Master starts the 5th round by taking Cyberevil down to less then 50% health, but then Cyberevil suddenly remembers how to play and finally puts up a fight. Cyberevil finishes off Master with the spinning piledriver. But Master then wins the next round and puts an end to this near-massacre.

DOA4 QF: James "Nefarious Sage" Clifford (5th at last year's World Cyber Games) vs. Daniel "King" Roberson
"King" is actually the apprentice of "Master". So if he wins, we're going to see an apprentice vs. master match in the semifinals. Nefarious is Kasumi, King is Ryu, the stage is the electric ring.

Results: Nefarious starts with a quick combo, then constantly slams King into the wall for the first win. Nefarious throws down King and King comes back with a 6-hit combo that slams Nefarious into the wall. King throws Nefarious, then Narious throws King, and King throws Nefarious to take the win. King throws Kasumi into the wall and does an air juggle. Nefarious goes on the offense but King finishes him off. In the 4th round Nefarious constantly gets countered and is down to 30%. Nefarious is then able to throw him into the wall and is able to pull 3 combos in a row, now bringing King down to 30%. Nefarious charges but King counters with an axe kick for the win. Nefarious starts with a combo but King counters and kicks Nefarious' ass to low health. Nefarious combos King into the wall and pulls off a shadow strike to catch up, but a quick counter and King wins again. King and Nefarious both use combos and throws to start off. King throws Nefarious but then Nefarious slams him into the wall. Nefarious does a cartwheel kick and brings King to low health, but King counters the next kick and charges Nefarious into the wall to win it all. Despite King winning 5 times in a row, Nefarious was able to put up a great fight. Good match overall.

Up next is Counter-Strike with Team 3D (not the wrestlers), who are considered one of the best teams in Counter-Strike. But the team they're facing from Sweden have won more tournaments then any other team, Ninjas in Pyjammas [sic]. This should be interesting.

Counter-Strike SF: Team 3D vs. Ninjas in Pyjammas
The map is Inferno and Ninjas decide to start as the counter terrorists.

Results: Ninjas get a quick frag as Team 3D head to area B. Ninjas shoot down another terrorist but Team 3D kills two of them and plant the bomb. Two Ninjas sneak up through the back halls but are shot down. The final Ninja is killed off and Team 3D takes the first round. 3D and Ninjas charged each killing one member. 3D throws a flash bang and it doesn't work, but they kill two Ninjas and keep going. They've teached the site and are planting the bomb. The Ninjas decide to save their weapons for this round so 3D will get the point. 3D are going to the A site this time. Once there grenades are everywhere and two Ninjas gets fragged. Two more Ninjas are fragged. The last Ninja runs away to save his weapon but is killed off. In the next round 3D easily reach the A site and plant the bomb for the win. The next two rounds have 3D dominating easily. 3D reach the B site, plant the bomb, then kill off all but one Ninja. The Ninja runs away as 3D are now ahead 7-0. We now head to a commercial (again, "?!")

Back from commercial and 3D is now ahead 9-0. Counter-Strike is so one sided.

Ninjas charge into the A site and overrun it for their first win. Ninjas and 3D goes full charge against each other and Ninjas come out on top. Ninjas decide to sneak through a house to get to the A site, but a 3D member is waiting to frag one. One Ninja sneaks in through a different way and is fragged as well. Ninjas quickly come back and wind up killing the rest of the CTs. Ninjas go up the middle and take out 3 members of 3D. A 3D member sneaks in two frags but Ninjas are able to finish them off. 3D snipes one Ninja down. Ninjas come out from the halls but they're quickly killed, and now only one Ninja is left against all of Team 3D. He's killed as well and Team 3D wins the game. Not very exciting when the game gets too one-sided most of the time.

Next is Battlefield 2...or, was Battlefield 2, but instead of showing the match they just summarize what happened. What kind of crap is this?!

Battlefield 2: Team Hot vs. 20ID

Quick Results: 20ID won the first half with only a 3 ticket lead., and also won the second half with only a 6 ticket lead. Hey, they don't want to show the whole match, I'm not doing a whole summary.

We now get a sneak peak of Splinter Cell: Double Agent, or rather, just a trailer. Up next, the only two game athlete in the CGI, Zyos, will be competing.

Zyos won first place in the 2003 World Cyber Games and is here to defend his title.

Halo 2 SF: Jason "Fiddyownz" Hodges vs. Matt "Zyos" Leto
Rules are the same, but the stage is now Ascension.

Results: Both exchange really long ranged shots and Zyos is able to get the first frag. Zyos turned his back on Fiddy and Fiddy capitilizes for the frag. Zyos climbs up a pillar and does some long range shooting, then climbs back down and finishes Fiddy off. Zyos and Fiddy do more long range shooting then Zyos decides to charge forward. More ranged shooting and Zyos keeps pushing forward. Zyos reaches Fiddy but gets shot to death. Zyos shoots and runs but Fiddy finds him and takes the lead. Zyos then charged at Fiddy and kills him to tie it. Fiddy immediately comes back and takes back the lead. Zyos runs to Fiddy at the other side of the map with 5 minutes remaining. Zyos shoots from one way then goes the other way to take Fiddy by surprise. The score is tied once again. Fiddy and Zyos get up close and Fiddy once again takes back the lead. Zyos tries to jump and shoot but Fiddy take him down to extend his lead. Zyos tries to hide and then charge but is killed once again. Zyos charges but couldn't find him and Fiddy kills him to make it 8-4. Zyos gets in Fiddy's face and winds up getting fragged again. It's now 9-4 in favor of Fiddy. Zyos then gets a frag to try and stay alive. Zyos chases him down and kills him for another frag but only 1 minute remains. 30 seconds remain and Zyos is able to get another frag, but it's too late as Fiddy as beaten the former champ. A good match but kind of disappointing from a guy who's a former world champ.

Time to determine who Fiddy faces.

Halo 2 SF: Nathan "Decoy" Corless vs. Jeff "Pacmayne" Powell

Results: Pacmayne heads to where Decoy is. After some close combat, Decoy heads up and shoots from a distance to score the first frag. Pacmayne decides to do really long distance shooting and gets the next frag. Pacmayne gets on a pillar to find Decoy, who appears beneath him and shoots down Pacmayne to take the lead. Both keep shooting and getting closer to each other, and Decoy takes another frag. Pacmayne chases down Decoy who decides to jump in from above but Pacmayne bashes him for his 2nd frag. Pacmayne then finds Decoy in the middle the stage and kills him to tie it up. Pacmayne finds Decoy in the distance and fires as Decoy runs to defend himself.

5 minutes left and Pacmayne is able to take the lead. Decoy gets in too close and Pacmayne bashes him to take a 2 frag lead. Decoy charges at him but gets killed again. Decoy charges again and Pacmayne once again bashes him to take an extended lead of 7-3. Pacymayne kills Decoy from a distance for another frag. After a long stall Decoy is able to get two frags in, but he's only got 1 minute remaining. Decoy gets another frag on Pacmayne and then charges to get another, but Pacmayne kills Decoy to put his comeback to an end. Good first half, not-so-good second half. Decent overall.

It's now time for the Battlefield 2 finals.

Battlefield 2 Finals: 20ID vs. Team Warchild
The map is Dhalium Plant. Warchild is U.S, 20ID is China, and the neutral points are West Entrance and Reactor Tower.

Results: Warchild quickly takes over the Reactor Tower to take control of the helicopter, but it's being shot at by 20ID's tank. The helicopter escapes just before the tank can finish it off. Warchild takes their heavy armor to the West Entrance that 20ID took over. 20ID uses their anti-tank infantry to destroy their tank, and Warchild uses their helicopter to destroy their tank. Warchild's helicopter then takes out another of 20ID's tanks, leaving them with few vehicles left. Warchild's heavy armor tank makes it way to the 20ID base as 20ID tries to shoot it down. 20ID's jeep is chasing down Warchild's jeep and crashes into it taking both jeeps out. 20ID is making a run to Warchild's base but they're shot down before they can make it. Warchild tries to take over the West Entrance with it's infantry as the tanks back them up. Warchild surprises 20ID's infantry with a tank and takes them out easily on the deck as they take over the West Entrance. 20ID's forces are being pushed back by Warchild as they sneak into the base with a jeep to take it over, but their infantry is killed off. Warchild takes out another one of their tanks and wins the first half with 51 tickets. Will we see yet another comeback in the second half?

Both teams have switched sides. 20ID immediately takes over the Reactor Tower and like before, Warchild is shooting at their helicopter. Warchild makes it way to the West Entrance but are blasted and 20ID has taken the West Entrance as well. 20ID's anti-airchaft vehicle is shooting down Warchild's infantry. 20ID dodges a rocket but is caught by surprise with a second rocket and loses it's vehicle. Warchild tries to make in an infantry assault and steals the helicopter. Since the helicopter hasn't gotten into the air, 20ID take it down with their tank. Several 20ID infantry go into the China Base to take it over. Warchild sends an anti-tank infantry to stop them but fails. A Warchild tank comes in and takes out the infantry, but are surrounded by a barrage of explosions from 20ID. Warchild's tank is destroyed and they now have NO DEFENSE for their flag! 20ID takes over their base and thus automatically wins the half AND the finals! Nice way to win the finals, but how could Warchild have let this happen?

Team 20ID are crowned the Battlefield 2 champions, and so win their Best Buy certificates, $40,000 cash prize, and their Dew Trophy.

Overall: What was up with skipping that Battlefield 2 match between 20ID and Team Hot? Part 2 wasn't much different from Part 1 except there wasn't one really good match to watch. Part 3 will have the finals for the rest of the games, so that looks more promising.
