I'm bringing Sony back!

Hello and welcome to another star studded edition of The SIXAXIS! This week finds me titillated with anticipation! One of my favorite bands, The Blood Brothers, will be gracing my fair city. It should be epic. But there is still much in the world of Sony to get to so lets not waste time.

It's go time!

The PS3's are coming the PS3's are coming!

Oh you Brits, are you ready? It is coming. The hour draws nigh. Yes, you can sense the anticipation as a thousand ships from Japan descend on your nation. The cargo? The most technologically advanced gaming system ever created…by humans.

Mark Harvey, of the Virgin Megastore in the Arndale Center, said: "We normally close at 8pm on a Thursday but we're going to stay open until midnight when we'll start selling the PlayStation 3.

"We have had people asking about it for about nine months now. We have had more than 100 pre-orders but we have plenty of stock for people who just want to turn up on the night and buy one when they go on sale at midnight."

But John Jones from Gamestation said: "Anyone who thinks they can just turn up and get one has got no chance."

You here that? No problem, waltz up to the door at 11:59pm, you'll get one, Virgin puts the customer first! Like so many major corporations they only have our best interests at heart. Oh well, watch the market folks, I expect to see a dip in banking this week as several people will be closing out banking accounts and taking out loans to afford the life changing hardware.

Dracula knows no binding legal obligations!

Good news for all you poor misinformed bastards who bought the inferior 360. Mr. Gates (or Billy Bob) decided that since all his games suck he'll just steal a good one. This week you 360 owners can hop online and buy yourselves a virtual copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the night!

For those of you who don't know what cool is, CSOTN is a side scrolling adventure title that takes you through Drucula's castle as Alucard, the badass son of the famed vampire.

I can't say enough about this game. It is a pure classic. Do yourselves a favor and download this one quick.

New Releases

Launch of the week!

Naturally this week I have chosen the launch that has kept all Europe waiting on their shores with baited breath. Yes, the PS3 cometh!

PS3

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion : Nerds unite! Now a whole new segment of gamers will live off of Cheetos and Dr.Pepper for months at a time in their parent's basement.

Armored Core 4: I've never been a huge fan of these games, but a new system may be just what the doctor ordered.

The Godfather: Don's Edition: I played The Godfather for the PS2 and it was awesome. I am very excited to see this one in spiffy new graphics.

Virtua Tennis 3: It's tennis, what do you expect?

PSP

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budoki: More fighting with zero gravity.

TMNT: I know all you Turtle fans are salivating at the thought of a new title that could recapture the magic of the classic game. But don't be fooled, its based on the movie, good money says it sucks.

Full Auto 2: Battle lines: Looks like a violent blast of adrenaline…or something like that.

Virtua Tennis 3: Little tennis!

UEFA Champions League 2006-2007: Ya know what football games are missing? Card based action!

After Burner: Black Falcon: I'm very excited about this. It's about time the After Burner franchise found its way to a handheld.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords: I think this is pretty self explanatory.

Survey of the week

A new random survey question! What series would you like to see made into an RPG style game (i.e. KOTOR)?

Rock the vote!

Results!

What do you think of games that simulate actual wars?

They trivialize the deaths of real people 11%

They remind us of the price so many people have paid for our freedom 25%

Its just a game, who cares 64%

Wow the vast majority of you don't have any problem with this. I'm surprised. On well, whether you care or not I don't see these games going anywhere soon.

Bargain Bin

Damn the man, its time to fight back! Mar's should be in the hands of the people! That's the idea behind the fast action first person shooter Red Faction. You fill the shoes of Parker, a miner who is mad as hell and isn't going to take it anymore. So are you ready to lead the rebellion?

One of the most unique things about this game is the Geo-mod this feature made destructive environments fairly limitless. Rather than a scripted explosion, or a wall that breaks the same way every time. The environments in Red Faction will alter based on what happens to them. This was quite a breakthrough at the time. Even today, many games are unable to capture the realism that RF was famous for.

RF has an engaging story, classic FPS action, and some pretty solid visuals. It makes a deadly edition to the bargain bin.

Ebay: $ 7.50

Youtube Theatre

Here is a look at The Godfather: Don's Edition. Surprise, its violent!

I don't want to cram pimpage

Yours truly, takes a look at one of the most anticipated titles for the PS3. Is it any good? Find out in my review of Motorstorm.

One man, who I am sure will be in line for the PS3 brings you another fun filled edition of Nintendophiles

Cory Moore takes a look at Pokeman in The Fun Factor.

It's over

Enjoy pure gaming satisfaction you wacky Brits!
