The Negative Edge News Report 07.12.08
Posted by Tommy Coloma on 07.12.2008

In case you didn't notice, it's been about a month since my last column. You can chalk it up to all the work and personal matters that keep cropping up. You can also blame two games which just begged to be finished. The first was a game that finally got me to dust off my PS3 - Metal Gear Solid 4. I enjoyed pretty much everything about the game save for its less-than-stellar combat system. It felt very unintuitive, especially after setting off an alert. I don't know how many times I died because I either couldn't get my gun up or I couldn't move the reticule fast enough to shoot someone that was standing right over me. For that reason, I made up my mind early on to play through the game without fighting (I'm told that that is the preferred way to play through these games anyway). After that, everything clicked and I started to enjoy myself. The cut-scenes were fantastic and I didn't mind that they were all over the place. Despite this being my first MGS game, I was able to get the gist of what was going on. I'm sure that I missed a lot, but there was enough exposition in the cut-scenes for me to get by. Everyone says that you must play the previous games before playing this, but I'll go out on a limb and say that if you have no intention of playing MGS 1-3 and if you're looking for a reason to use your PS3, give MGS4 a try. It's not like you have anything else to play on the system anyway.

The other game that I beat was Persona 3 FES. I will have to admit that it was more of a grind-fest than its predecessor. Only those who actually beat P3 would want to play through FES, if only to see why P3 ended the way it did (Persona 3's ending left things wide open to interpretation). It took me 30 hours to complete, so in all, I spent over 130 hours (not counting the times I died) on the two games. It was well worth it, as the many things to do in P3 just made the time I spent playing it fly by and I was actually sad when I finished it, while FES allowed me to revisit the characters that I grew to love in P3 and also provided me with one of the most satisfying endings I've ever experienced in an RPG. Overall, this is the most enjoyable series I've played through in a while.

Tip: Get a Persona that has Sexy Dance so that you can charm your enemies into submission. It makes grinding much easier in both games.

Let's get to the good stuff -

The Music Box

by ColdFlame1987

Before I get started, I'd like to thank the anonymous commenter that pointed out that in the first Mega Man X game, certain stages are affected by the order in which some bosses are defeated. I'll have to try the game again some time just to see that in action.

Now, this week's song is obviously a version of the background music used in Ghosts 'n Goblins. It is also available as a hidden track in one of the many Mega Man games to come out on the SNES. I never really liked the game in question, mostly because of how slow it felt when compared to its 8-bit predecessors. I also didn't like the way most of the enemies required several hits to be defeated. To me, having to shower regular enemies with bullets took some of the fun out of the series. However, despite my disdain for those changes in gameplay, I still come back to this game just to play the level where this week's song can be selected. Sometimes, good music can make one forget about crappy gameplay.

The News As I See It
It's been a slow week leading up to E3, but I promise that I'll have more to talk about next time. Really!

I would have preferred Jump vs. Capcom
How cool would it have been to see Kenshin vs. Ryu. Or even Goku vs. Akuma? Or at least [some modern anime character] vs. [random Capcom character]. Alas, what we got was Tatsunoko vs Capcom, which is still better than nothing. Despite my apathy toward the license, I can't deny that the game looks pretty sweet. I heard that it is supposed to be the spiritual successor to the Marvel Vs. series, and from the looks of things, that sounds pretty accurate. I'm sure that fans of those games will be disappointed over the fact that you can only select two characters instead of 3. I never cared for the Marvel games, so it doesn't bother me that much. There are two main things that I noticed in this video - the music changes when a player switches characters and the game plays noticeably slower than the previous Vs. games. Both are welcomed additions as far as I'm concerned, though the constant switching of characters might make the musical changes awkward. I like how the game is shaping up so far, though the character selection still leaves much to be desired.

Don't worry. It won't brick your system any more
Sony was finally able to bring out the PS3's newest firmware after pulling it for about a week due to an unintended system-bricking feature. While only a small number of people experienced difficulty, the vocal minority was able to blow the problem up to epic proportions. The power of the Internet is truly something to be feared!

This update enables in-game XMB and adds the new trophy system. I am more interested in the latter as this is Sony's chance to do what Microsoft was not able to do with achievements, which is to give weight to the gamer's accomplishments. My biggest beef with the achievement system is the way it gives points for doing absolutely nothing. Turn a game on for the first time, get some points. Defeat the first boss, get even more points. Stare at the sun for five minutes? Sure, you did something, so here are some points for the effort. A large number of the available points are given away for doing things that anyone could do. Beating the bike stage in Battletoads? That's an achievement. Pressing the start button? Only for a two-year-old. In Sony's version, trophies are given based on how difficult the task is. The greater the difficulty, the better the trophy. In theory, pressing the start button, defeating the first boss, and shooting your first enemy would net you a crappy bronze while doing something as difficult as the bike sequence in Battletoads would get you a gold one. That is where I see potential. Developers can give out bronze and silver trophies for all the bullshit accomplishments in order to appease the more casual gamers and save the gold (and more meaningful) trophies for those that do what only really good players can do. Doing things on the level of finishing the bike stage in Battletoads (is that the third time I've mentioned it?), landing your jet in Top Gun, finishing MGS4 without sounding an alert, or defeating an SNK boss without losing a round should garner the gamer the recognition he or she deserves.

If done right, I wouldn't mind going after gold trophies because everyone would know that I actually did something to earn them. That is how it should work. But we all know that this will not be the case. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

The Little Things
While they may not seem like much individually, taken together, the little things that developers include in their games help to make your gaming experience much more memorable. With this section, I hope to draw your attention to just some of the little gems out there.

Do you seek the thrill of death?
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is known for this high difficulty, even on the normal difficulty setting. I like to think that the developers added the text shown in the above screenshot to let the gamer know exactly what to expect when selecting hard. This is their way of making sure that when the gamer finds his or her controller in pieces after having thrown it at a wall out of sheer frustration, that person will have nobody to blame but him/herself.

The Anime Circle
Despite promising myself a few years ago to never go again, I went to this year's Anime Expo last week. Most of my time was spent attending panels from which I captured over 10 hours of audio. If I can actually get myself to process it, I'll use whatever I get to pad next week's column. But waiting a whole week for that is too much, right? Luckily, footage from one of the better panels that I attended, Shin Megami Tensei: Behind the Scenes, was put online by Atlus. This was the panel in which the release date for Persona 4 was announced. I think that the video is worth watching just to hear/see the crowd's reaction when the date was revealed. You should also check it out if you have even a passing interest in the MegaTen series as the panelists gave a very informative and entertaining look at the history of the series. As with most of the other panels that I attended at AX, the Q&A portion with the fans was also a highlight. Watch it! You know you want to...

That will be 255 Rupees Please!

Digitial Devil Saga (PS2 Reprint) @ Play-Asia

First Nocturne. Then Persona 3 FES. And now DDS. And with the impending release of Persona 4, if you're a MegaTen fan, it's a great time to be alive. Yet again, here is your chance to experience another game in the series without having to deal with eBay. This version doesn't come with all the goodies the original did, but honestly, you'll live. Like Persona 3, once you finish it, you'll want to play the second game. So, you might as well pick that one up as well. Fortunately, unlike Persona 3 FES, DDS2 actually feels like a full second game. I'm not sure where you can get a good price for the 2nd game though. Up until recently, it was pretty easy to get for $40 at various sites. But first thing's first - get DDS before it's too late.

Arkanoid/Space Invaders Extreme Paddles (DS)
NCSX still has a few of these left. They've been getting harder to get from import stores and, according to some sources, it looks like nobody will be getting more of these unless Square/Taito decides to make more. If you're hardcore into Arkanoid and/or Space Invaders Extreme, now is the time to get one.

The Release List
Normally, I'd mix in older releases with the current week's releases whenever I got back from a hiatus. This time I've decided to do two release lists - one for this week and another for the weeks that I missed. Does that help? Anyway, some of the more notable releases this week include Ponkotsu Roman Daikatsugeki Bumpy Trot Vehicle Battle Tournament (PSP Import), Shinseiki GPX Cyber Fomula VS (PSP Import), and Biohazard 0 (Wii Import). Here are a few more -

Unreal Tournament III (360)
This version is a little late to the party. It also lacks the ability to use mods and a mouse and keyboard control scheme. Don't blame Epic for that though. It's all about Microsoft's greed and the company's inability to let go of the notion that adding keyboard and mouse support will make the 360 look less like a gaming machine. Unless you like paying more for less, I suggest that you get the PC or PS3 version instead.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon (Wii)
This is essentially a 3D roguelike. I'm not sure how difficult Square Enix made the game, but if it's like other roguelikes, you'll be throwing your controller on the ground after a few hours of play. Speaking of roguelikes, isn't it time for me to do that review for the first Izuna game?

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (360, PS3, DS)
I've never played a single Civilization game before, but some of my coworkers have been telling me about how awesome the games are. From what I've gathered, the gist is that you start with a primitive civilization and work your way up the technological food chain, with world dominance as your main objective. This Civilization is supposed to be console-friendly. If true, I may just pick it up so that I can finally see what all the fuss is about.

Illust Logic + Colorful Logic (Wii Import)
What we have here is essentially Picross with Hudson characters thrown in. According to some import sites, it contains about 600 puzzles. I'm thinking about checking this out, but I've never even tried Picross. Can someone explain to me what's so appealing about these types of games?

If you want a more import friendly version of the game, you can check out the one for the DS. That one has 300 regular puzzles and 100 color puzzles.

Persona 4 (PS2 Import)
The US version will be out on the 9th of December. That gives you plenty of time to finish Persona 3 or to play through Nocturne or the just re-released Digital Devil Saga.

Custom Beat Battle: Draglade 2 (DS Import)
This is a sequel to a fighting game that made user of rhythm/musical elements. Anyone try the first one?

Densetsu no Stafi: Taiketsu! Dire Kaizokudan (DS Import)
Densetsu no Stafi is side-scrolling platformer which stars prince Stafi and his aquatic friends. I keep hearing about how the GBA games in this series are badass. If those rumors are true, I wonder why Nintendo never brought this franchise over. I'm guessing that they were finding it hard to give a smiling starfish the Kirby treatment. I don't think that it would have been that hard though. All they'd have to do is give him some slanted eyebrows to make him look angry. That would be a look befitting a murderous starfish.

Naruto Shippuuden: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshuu - Gekitou! Naruto vs. Sasuke (DS Import)
I never had any interest in the fighting games based on Naruto. I am, however, much more open to side-scrollers based on the Anime series. This one looks like it could be fun. I'd wait on this one though, as I have no doubt that this make its way to the US eventually.

The Release List (MIA edition)
Here are some of the more interesting games that came out while I was gone. There are way too many for me to cover everything, so the following list of notable releases is much longer that it would normally be - Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (DS), Arkanoid (DS), Requiem: Bloodymare (PC), Space Invaders Extreme (DS), The Political Machine 2008 (PC), Spore Creature Creator (PC), Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard (DS), MGS4 (PS3), Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles (DS), Fate Unlimited Codes (Japanese Arcades), Stratego: Next Edition (DS), Sengoku Basara X (PS2 Import), Daigassou! Band Brothers DX (DS Import), Gegege no Kitarou: Youkai Daigekisen (DS Import), Simple DS Series Vol. 39: The Shouboutai (DS Import), Bokura no Telebi Game Kentei (DS Import), Jigsaw World: Daigekitou! Jig-Battle Heroes (DS Import), Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk (Wii Import). Others notables include -

The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match (PS2 Import)
We should be getting this in December. If you can't wait, you can always pick the Japanese version up at your favorite import shop. For the uninitiated, KOF '98 is seen as the best in the series (though I've heard that KOF XI is also pretty good). It's a little sad when a 10-year-old game in an ongoing series is considered the pinnacle of said series. Hopefully, the upcoming KOF will change things. Until then, why not enjoy an updated version of this classic?

Sunsoft Collection (PS2 Import)
Another Neo-Geo fighting game collection, this time one consisting of two Sunsoft games - Galaxy Fight and Waku Waku Seven. I've never tried Galaxy Fight, but I did try and enjoy Waku Waku Seven. While I think that Waku Waku Seven is a pretty cool fighting game, I don't think that the whole collection is worth the $50 import price. You know what would have made it worth the asking price? Blaster Master. Of course, that wouldn't make much sense, but neither does charging $50 for a collection of games that only the hardest of the hardcore would touch.

Magnetica Twist (WiiWare)
Originally the Puzzloop series. The idea was stolen (yes, stolen!) by Popcap and reskinned as Zuma. I'm glad that the series is in a place where it can be seen by millions. It's a shame that there isn't a demo though. I'm sure that it would sell a lot better if people had a chance to sample it first. And no, playing Zuma to get a taste of Magnetica would be blasphemous, so don't do it!

HORI Fighting Stick EX2 - SoulCalibur IV Limited Edition (Xbox 360)
The stock version of this stick, while infinitely better for fighting games than the 360's controller, still pales in comparison to the sticks that are already out for the PS3. Fortunately, Hori will be releasing (if they haven't already) the Real Arcade Pro EX some time soon (this week if my sources are correct). If you're a hardcore fighting game fan and you're going to pick up a stick for all the fighting games that are coming out this year, I'd suggest importing the Real Arcade Pro EX or getting a stick builder to make you a custom stick. If you're just a casual fighting game fan and have some money to burn, any version of the EX2 will do.

There is also a version of this stick for the PS3. Its black casing makes it look so much better than its 360 counterpart, but there are much better alternatives for PS3 owners.

Operation Darkness (360)
"Play the hidden battles of WWII as you combat the occult forces of Hitler's regime, including Nazis, zombies, vampires, and more in this epic alternate WWII strategy RPG."

I've seen some mixed reviews for this one. Well... Actually... I've seen some pretty low scores. I'll check this out anyway, 'cause damnit! There just aren't too many SRPGs on the 360. Plus, it has Nazis, zombies, and vampires. How can you screw that up? I have no doubt that this will find its way to the bargain bin soon enough, which is sad considering the fact that Atlus doesn't localize too many 360 games. I hope that its (likely) low sales numbers don't negatively affect Atlus' future 360 localization plans.

Initial D Extreme Stage (PS3 import)
Ok. So the name is extremely stupid, but at least they didn't use "xtreme." Outside of fighting games and side-scrollers, racing games are pretty easy to import. Make sure that you pick up the Japanese version (not the Asia one) as that one allows you play online.

On a related note, the show that this game is based on is one of the reasons that you see the 86 in a lot of racing games that come out of Japan. If you ever check the Anime out, do not watch the "tricked out" version. That was the result of the US distributors trying to Americanize the show by adding leet-speak, adding special effects, and changing real car sounds with bullshit ones. In the end, they took away everything that fans liked about the show. The "classic" version still has its problems, but for the most part, it's still highly entertaining, especially if you're into cars.

Jawa: Mammoth to Himitsu no Ishi (Wii Import)
Jawa is noteworthy for being the first game to allow Mii integration. As your Mii in caveman garb, you get to make friends, gather food, and hunt in a prehistoric setting. The game seems to have been released with little fanfare, and considering the fact that it is the first to offer Mii integration, that kinda tells you what to expect in the quality department.

Panpaka Panya-San (DS Import)
Ah yes. A cooking simulator that was probably made to capitalize on the the niche Cooking Mama dug for itself. It could be cool, but it looks a little too cute for me.

Pinky Street: Kira Kira * Music Hour (DS Import)
Pinky Street is another rhythm game series. Players are supposed to hit three different panels in time to the music. "Music Hour" appears to be a Korean language version of the series. It's a little on the expensive side, but there is also "Music Night," the Japanese version that came out back in December, which you should be able to find for much cheaper.

Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2
This is supposedly easier than the previous games, so if the other ones kicked your ass enough to make you want to stop playing, maybe it's time for you to give the series another shot.

SoulCalibur (Xbox Live Arcade)
This port of the only fighting game to get a perfect score on Famitsu lacks Mission Mode but comes with everything onlocked. It also lacks online play.

Many are acting like Namco is doing everyone a disservice by not making this an online game. But seriously, when Soul Calibur 4 comes out, hardly anyone will be playing this. The hardcore Soul Calibur 1 players might stick around, but who really wants to get their ass kicked by people who have been playing the game since it was originally released on the Dreamcast? Also, you don't want a fragmented online community. If any of you have actually played an online fighter regularly, you'll know that after a few months, their servers are usually empty or filled with people who are just too good to compete with. Anything to keep people in as few games as possible would help.

Roogoo (PC)
This is a "puzzle" game that requires you to rotate several rows of discs in order to make different shaped blocks fit through them. I put quotes around puzzle mostly because I don't really see this as much of a puzzle game. After playing the XBLA demo, I'd stay that it's more of a twitch-action type game. I like it in that respect. It also helps that the game sports some of the cutest characters I've seen in recent memory.

Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm (PC)
A crab fisherman strategy game/simulator? I've heard some good things about this. The only real complaint seems to be its piss-poor graphics. You can blame it on the fact that there aren't too many other crab fishing games from which the developers could draw inspiration from. Like the show? Like crab fishing? Maybe this is right up your alley.

Gears of War 2-Disc Edition (360)
Would you believe that I've never played Gears? Yes, people like me exist. And re-releases like this exist for people like me. Isn't it great how things work out?

The Sims 2: IKEA Home Stuff (PC)
WTF?

Super Mario Stadium: Family Baseball (Wii Import)
Frankly, I get suspicious whenever I see any competitive Nintendo game these days, mostly because of the way Nintendo likes to give big unfair advantages to the players that suck. We'll find out whether or not that's the case with this game when it comes out in the US.

Guilty Gear XX #Reload (Xbox Originals / 360)
It's sad that for most gamers, this series has fallen by the wayside thanks to the many revisions Arc System Works threw down their throats over the years. I bought this game back in the day when it was first released and, if I remember correctly, it had really shitty netcode. Don't expect much as far as online play is concerned. This is a few games behind the newest release (it was followed by XX Slash, Accent Core, and Accent Core Plus). You might want to pick up a more modern version of the game instead.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix BETA + game nobody really cares about (XBLA)
The HD Remix beta is pretty buggy and only features Ken and Ryu, but it shows how much potential there is in the complete game. As far as I can tell, the netcode is almost as good as GGPO's. Just keep in mind that this is an early beta.

Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy (Wii)
Blast Works is a side-scrolling shooter in which you are allowed to create your own ships from scratch for use in the game. You can also build your own levels and the enemies you want to populate them with. I can imagine one losing days on the creation process alone. The game is based on another called TUMIKI Fighters . You can download the freeware version of it here.

Soul Bubbles (DS European Import)
The horrendously bad name aside, I'm looking forward to this action/puzzle game. Check out the video down below to see what it's about.

Chaos Wars (PS2)
When a CEO gets his family to do the voice acting, quality is obviously not one of his priorities. I was looking forward to the release of Chaos Wars back when its localization was announced in September. It isn't often that we get games that feature characters from Shadow Hearts, Growlancer, and the Spectral series (among others). So imagine my surprise when I found out that the game had been released a few weeks ago without me knowing about it. I consult at least four different release lists on other sites and none of them mentioned the game. The only explanation that I could think of was that it was because Chaos Wars was a GameStop exclusive. Whatever the case may be, it's still sad that the only reason I knew that the game had been released was because Insert Credit had a little piece on how horrible the localized voice acting for the game was. An explanation really wasn't necessary; the video they linked to down below showed all the grizzly details. After seeing that, one has to wonder how it got so bad. Luckily, Insert Credit (via a post from GameFaqs), found out that the CEO of the developer in charge got at least four of his relatives to do voice work for the game.

Note to future game publishers - if you are just going to half-ass it, stuck with a Japanese track with subtitles and release the game earlier. Thanks.

To Be Continued...
That's all I have for this week. Now, I was just told that I must go on a four-year journey in order to get to my final resting place. Oddly enough, the person right next to me was offered a train ride that would cover the same distance in only four minutes. If I can find some way to get in on that deal, I'll be back next week.

Tommy,

I agree with you about the trophy system. The achievements are usually very easy to unlock. I unlocked 795g for completeting Assassin's Creed.

However, I'm playing the HELL out of Super Stardust HD. Some of those trophies are VERY hard to unlock. It took me about two hours to unlock the 45 second bronze trophy. For that game, the developers are making those trophies hard as hell.

About MGS4, I had zero problems with the controls. I felt the controls were silky smooth, but that may come from the years and years of playing the MGS series. I'm sorry that you had problems with the controls.

The cool thing about MGS4, it feels a bit more exciting when you try to sneak past bad guys.

The chateau battle was AWESOME as hell. I did some sneaking there. :-D

You should probably wait until there's more than one example of Trophies before making comparisons, or maybe compare SSHD's Trophies to Geometry War's Achievements.

There are games that do Achievements well, just like there will probably be games that don't do Trophies that well.

You know...when there's more than just the one.

Mark, is that a challenge?

Alright. I'm going to make sure that I post a news report next week, just to spite you.

How dare you. MGS4 is perfect in every way. How dare you only devote a few lines to it. This whole column should have been nothing but how amazing MGS4 is and how the PS3's sales have spiked and how its taking over and how Sony are going to be back on their throne by next month. You suck. Everyone but Sony sucks. Even I suck. LOL, I'm sooo funny.

Posted By: Snake211 (Guest)  on July 12, 2008 at 07:54 PM

The only flaw I feel from MGS4 comes from Sony themselves. Kojima clearly had many things he would have loved to do with Snake, moves and such, but I believe he was hampered a little by the fact that Sony have stuck to the same controller design since the Playstation days. The moves in the game take a little getting used to, and sometimes...yes, sometimes, you can press the wrong button or Snake will react to something because the game thinks you want to do one thing instead of something else. I just wish Sony would change their controller to help games designers get something different out of their consoles. Nintendo are almost making designers do something new with their controller and thats a good thing because with Sony and Microsoft both looking to create similar controllers it can only mean good things for the games industry, if used correctly and not abused.

FDuk200k,

That would be your opinion, since I've probably been playing video games longer than you, and probably more than one genre as well, I see ZERO problem with the design of the PS/PS2/PS3 controller (maybe the triggers). They have the most versatile controller on the market.

The last time I checked, the 360 controller sucks for ANYTHING that requires the use of the dpad (i.e. fighting games). On the other hand, the Dualshock 3 is a wonder to use on fighting games. I think you need to buy a PS3 before you formulate an opinion.

Since when does playing video games longer than me have anything to do with it. If you want to go into things like that, I'm 26 and the first thing ever bought in my house that could be considered gaming had pong and only pong in it. Followed by the Spectrum, then Nintendo, Sega, etc,

You even contradict yourself in your reply to me. First by assuming something that has nothing to do with what I said. Who cares if you've been playing games longer than me? Do you want a star for that? But second you say you see ZERO wrong with the Sony controller and then bracket it with, maybe the triggers. So you don't see ZERO wrong with it then right? Be clearer next time.

You also assume I don't own a PS3. Never assume because you make an ass of yourself, like you've done here. I own all 3 consoles, all 3 Playstations and even a PS1 so I like to think Im more than qualified to voice an opinion on what I think works well. You may remember Sony unveliing the PS3 with that God awful boomerang controller that they thankfully recalled. Microsoft had complaints about the original Xbox controller so they tweaked it and it was a big improvement. Until Sony copy...sorry, move forward and give the controller a new design games will struggle. Sony are aware of this. They "tried" to implant motion sensor on the PS3 and look how well that worked out.

You're right, it is my opinion, but please don't try to look down your nose at me with assumptions about things that mean little to nothing in regards to a controller. If you've been playing longer than me then give yourself a cookie. There's probably people out there who've been playing longer than you. Some will agree with me, some will agree with you. Does that make a difference?

Wow Dave... has it really come to this? Are you seriously calling someone out because they said they think there is room for improvement on the Sony controller? Then as your proof that the Sony controller is better, you call out the xbox controller which was not even mentioned in the comment you are responding to? Does your opinion mean more ecause you have been playing games longer? Hell no! Seriously dude, get over yourself... "since I've probably been playing video games longer than you, and probably more than one genre as well,"

probably more than one genre? Are you not sure how many genre's you have played? How can we respect your opinion on a controller if you can't even tell us how many different genre's of games you have played? Oh wait.. thats right, genre's have nothing to do with what he said. He said for one particular game...MGS4, he thought the Sony controller was a hindrance FOR HIM! Holy Christ man, you are seriously reaching now. Who the hell made you the be all end all expert on all things video games? Since I have been playing since the early days of the Atari, does that mean my opinion has more bearing than yours? No it does not.
I recen;t played COD4 on the PS3, and I have to say that I found the controller less than stellar for that game as well. But I played it on a friends PS3, so I guess I am not allowed to have an opinion.
