Chris Evans says farewell in his last 411 Mania Column.
The PC Centric Extravaganza 18th November 2008
Welcome to what is the last edition of The PC Centric Extravaganza as written by yours truly, Chris Evans. I have reached a stage of my academic life where I need to devote as much time as I can to my studies, this means that I am cutting back on any writing which I feel I am able to cut back on. I have had a good run here on 411, and I hope you have all enjoyed what I have written.
If you want to get in touch with me, my email is yuriisaac(at)gmail.com or you can see my work on blog or along with some other people on The Reticule
Read on for the last Extravaganza!
Crayon Physics Deluxe
If you fancy a bit of physics based drawing then there is no better place to head to than Crayon Physics Deluxe which is now ready for pre-order. This game featured in the 2008 IGF Awards and won the Grand Prize, bear in mind this was the same awards ceremony which saw World of Goo claim two prizes.
You can pre-order the game for $14.95 before it reverts back to $20 after it is released and the below video is well worth checking out.
Good news for all the European fans of World of Goo, 2D Boy have managed to change some things with their Euro publisher, RTL Games. As such the game will be coming to Wii Ware and the PC in both retail and digital formats sometime towards the end of December.
The PC version of the game will cost ˆ19.99 at retail and it will also be coming back onto Steam in Europe.
There is some bad news however, as of right now that mysterious "6th Chapter" will not be included in the European retail release as was originally planned. The boys want to keep all versions of the game the same wherever possible.
When I asked Kyle further about this "6th Chapter" he revealed the following:
It's possible it will never come out. It's also possible that it will come out as an expansion for all versions of the game, at the same time, available to all regions. The thing I feel great about, though, is that we can finally say that there is one and only one definitive version of World of Goo, available to everyone.
Check out all the details regarding the Euro release here.
Kudos 2 Post-Mortem
Kudos 2 by Positech Games (aka "Cliffski") is an interesting life-sim game. I have the demo, yet unfortunately I haven't had much time to play it, though I am sure that I would really enjoy it.
Regardless, Cliffski has done a nice little Post Mortem on the game, it is well worth a read right here.
While you are at it, don't forget to check out the demo, or even buy the game from this lovely page.
Farewell!
For the last time then I bid you all farewell, as you can see by the lack of stuff this week I am really struggling for time right now.

I came late to the party, and I am not much of a PC gamer, but I want to wish you an excellent academic journey. I hope this column provides you positive memories. I hope you shine in your future endeavors.
