Lips Microphones Compatible With Guitar Hero: Metallica and Rock Band 2

360 owners to enjoy wireless singing

Musically-inclined gamers will soon enjoy the benefits of wireless crooning, courtesy of Microsoft and the Lips microphones. The Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero Metallica will be compatible with the wireless mics straight out of the box, while a software update this summer will add Lips functionality to Rock Band 2. Subsequent music titles released this year on the 360 will also be compatible with the Lips microphones.

There are also a slew of downloads coming to the Lips game itself this month. Song packs from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ne-Yo, and Coldplay are on the way, as well as individual tracks from Fall Out Boy, Incubus, 3 Doors Down, The Cranberries and others. These songs can be accessed via Xbox LIVE Marketplace or the Lips in-game "Get Music" store.
