The newest installment of the MySims series will be released on the DS and Wii.
EA announced today that a new game will be joining the MySims franchise, called MySims Agents. Players will take the role of a crime-fighting agent who must thwart the evil plans of foes and save the city. "It's mystery-meets-adventure theme allows players to hone their problem-solving skills while still enjoying all of the beloved MySims charm, characters, customization and humor," says Tim LeTourneau, the general manager of the MySims franchise.
There will be two versions, one for the DS and one for the Wii. In the DS version, you have to work with the mayor to stop a thief from stealing treasure, playing minigames along the way. In the Wii version, the player is a special agent who is hired to take on Morcubus, a criminal mastermind. Players can recruit MySims, each with their own unique characteristics, to join their team.
MySims Agents is scheduled to be available worldwide fall of 2009. The game is not yet rated by the ESRB.
