Greg Keyes to Pen Two Elder Scrolls Novels
Posted by Jonny Richardson on 04.27.2009

Bethesda Softworks today announced their partnership with Ballantine Books, the Random House Publishing Group member who will be responsible for the publishing of two brand new novels based upon The Elder Scrolls series.

The legendary RPG franchise will be loving extended to paperback form by Greg Keyes, whose previous books include the ‘Age of Unreason' tetrology (which earned him the esteemed "Le Grand Prix de I'Imaginaire" award) and three Star Wars Novels in the New Jedi Order series.

The first book, ‘The Infernal City', is due to be released in the Fall of 2009, and will be an all new story for fans of the series to sink their teeth into, set sometime after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Pete Hines, vice president of public relations and marketing at Bethesda had this to say: "We've been big fans of Greg's work for a long time, and we're thrilled he agreed to bring his talents to The Elder Scrolls. We see these books as a natural extension of the franchise and think fans will love the stories and characters Greg has created."

Sounds cool. Could lead to them getting Elder Scrolls V moving along or at least some cool ideas on how to come up with your own storylines for Oblivion.
