Twilight The Video Game
Posted by Scott J. Simpson on 07.29.2009

Having sold millions of copies worldwide, it should have come as no surprise that the popular vampire romance novel "Twilight" would be turned into a movie. But with the recent success of the book's venture onto the big screen (the film grossing over $300 million worldwide), is it any surprise that the novel is now being turned into a video game?

Launched in April, Twilight The Video Game's official website ( twilightthevideogame.com ) describes the game as a, "an interactive experience that will allow players to immerse themselves into a deeper form of storytelling and adventure, gaining a deeper understanding of The Twilight Saga through your explorations and discoveries." In other words, players will be able to encounter and interact with characters from the series while they explore The Twilight Saga.

The player will be able to experience the saga from the perspective of different characters; utilize journal flashpoints, which can be read like a book, read to you by the author or used to journey back in time to experience the events in the journal first hand; and the game will also feature the ability for players to create their own characters and even play as humans, vampires and werewolves in multiplayer mode.

No release date has been announced for the game, nor has any information been revealed about which systems the game will appear on, however 411mania has contacted the developer and if they respond we will update you with new information.

The only way this'll work is if you play as Edward, and it skips to fight scenes.

I miss the days where they would just make generic themed platformers about the IP, like Toy Story on the genesis

The only way it can work is if it's set on fire.
