First Hint At Street Fighter IV Sequel
Posted by Ashish on 09.18.2009

The Official Japanese Street Fighter IV blog has a new update up that features writer Natsuki Shiozawa promising to make a more solid announcement about Street Fighter IV sequel soon. With Street Fighter IV being a huge success, its not surprising that there will be a sequel, but this is the first hint from Capcom that we've gotten.

It's worth noting that a sequel doesn't mean Street Fighter V. They will likely do a Street Fighter IV Turbo/Supers/Dashes/etc. before going to Street Fighter V.

Figured. Glad I didn't spring for SF IV yet then, as tempting as it was.

And they will charge a full $60 for each new version of SFIV with a new subtitle. How is it this is allowed to go on, but people bitch about Left 4 Dead 2 coming so soon?

Because unlike some crappy FPS which you will play for a little while and find nothing new, fighting games like SF 4 can be played for years with new strategies and can be kept fresh with new players.

Im assuming SF4 Champion Edition will get some needed tweaks like toning down Sagat who was way too overpowered.

actually fighting games cant be played for years or get fresh, there is no way SFIV will be played by even half of the people in a few years

Because people are idiots.

I really don't get why Capcom would release a full-fledged sequel then say make new characters for players to download.
