Assassin's Creed II: Discovery Coming to the Nintendo DS
Posted by Drew Robbins on 09.24.2009

You may not have noticed, but there was an Assassin's Creed game on the DS. Little known fact, it was actually fairly decent. So it should come as no big shocker, for this and other reasons (such as the Assassin's Creed franchise is known to print money), that a sequel is in the works with plans to be released on November 17th in correspondence with the release of the console and PSP versions.

Discovery will guide you through some adventures of the new protagonist, Ezio, which are not covered in the console counterparts. Ezio's journey will bring you to Spain as he attempts to rescue some of his colleagues being held captive by the Inquisition. Upon this he will discover many grand secrets building a conspiracy around this supposed Inquisition.

As with the console counterparts, a high emphasis will be placed on speed and accuracy as you navigate the game's scenery. Assassin's Creed will also utilize some capabilities of the DSi, giving you the ability to take a photo of yourself and place it on in-game wanted signs.

Don't fret though, this isn't one of those planned "exclusive" titles to the DSi, so Assassin's Creed II will be shipping to DS, DS Lite, and DSi on November 17th.
