New action-adventure game from Namco announced.
Namco Bandai Games announced yesterday the new game Enslaved will be coming for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and will be developed by Ninja Theory Ltd. Enslaved follows two characters forming a union in an action-adventure setting in post-apocalyptic America. This will be a tactical action-adventure game centered around the relationship between the two main characters. The game is due for a 2010 release.
The story is set 150 years in the future when the world is almost unrecognizable and the human population is declining. Robots from previous wars remain as well. Gamers will be able to play as Monkey and Trip that are captured by a slave ship and band together to escape. Al links the two together via a "slave headband" where if one character dies both will die. Players will be challenged to make Monkey and Trip work together to get through alive.
Andy Serkis was also announced as "directing" and playing the character of Monkey. Nitin Sawhney will be composing the score. Screenwriter Alex Garland (28 Days Later) is making his video game project debut in writing the game's script and in-game dialogue.
