Resident Evil 5: AE Trailer
Posted by Scott J. Simpson on 10.02.2009

Last Saturday we brought you the news that Capcom is currently working on an updated edition of Resident Evil 5 entitled "Alternative Edition."

The new game, which is currently scheduled for release in Japan this spring, will feature support for the PS3's motion controller and a new playable episode featuring Chris and Jill. Alternative Edition may also be released on the Xbox 360 and could possibly utilize Project Natal, but as of right now, Capcom has not confirmed the game supporting the new tech.

Below you can watch the Japanese debut trailer for Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition, which was showcased at the Tokyo Game Show. In the trailer, Chris and Jill reminisce about old times when they break into the Spencer Mansion. It's like déjà vu all over again…

When they say alternative edition, will it have a new ending?

From what I know Todd, that won't be the case. The only new features for the game include motion control support and a new playable episode. Instead the game should probably be called Resident Evil 5: Slightly Expanded Edition.
