Scavenge Mode Announced for L4D2

Scavenge has players scrambling in the new game mode on Left 4 Dead 2.
Valve announced on Thursday the newest game mode, deemed Scavenge mode, for Left 4 Dead 2. It's the fourth game mode for the shooter coming out this November. The challenge has players playing as Survivors or Infected to compete with up to eight other players in a capture-the-flag battle. Players will be able to play both sides on every round. The Survivors must play offense, racing the clock to collect gas cans and refuel a generator located on every map. Each gas can the Survivors collect and pour into the generator gets them a point and more time on the clock. Meanwhile, the Infected team -- including the new special Infected -- must keep the Survivors from refueling by attacking them, removing gas cans, or making the clock run out.
Left 4 Dead 2 is exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PC. It's set for release on November 17, 2009.
Never liked Versus mode, however this seems like fun.
I'm moments away from a gas can when suddenly, a smoker tung shoots past me and latches the gas can and pulls it away.

Think this will be an interesting mode, on one hand you need to split up to collect the gascans, on the other hand you need to stay close as a team to survive. Should be fun to work out and see different strategies.
