Rumor says Nvidia and Nintendo teaming up...
Anonymous sources are saying that NVidia has just signed a contract to supply it's 'Tegra' chip to a new Nintendo DS console that is supposed to be revealed in lade 2010. For those that don't know, Tegra is the same chip that is used in tons of smart phones and devices, most recently including the new Zune HD.
From the rumor story:
"The alleged deal – first reported by IT news outlet BSN, quoting anonymous sources – will see Nvidia develop a single-chip Tegra processor for the next Nintendo handheld.
BSN reports that Nvidia's technology will allow Nintendo to deliver a device that's technically superior to the DSi system."
Keep in mind that this is just a rumor for now, but if it turns out to be true the next DS could be the most powerful handheld console Nintendo has ever made, and comparable to the Zune HD.
