When does it release and what's up with pre-orders?
We just got the word from BioWare that Mass Effect 2 is slated for a North American release on January 26. Likewise, January 29 marks the game's release in Europe.
In relation to pre-orders, BioWare is releasing some download codes for special-ops armor and weaponry that will boost Commander Shepard's skills and abilities. At GameStop, the Terminus Gear will be available with pre-orders, which includes the powerful Terminus Assault Armor and the M-490 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon.
Players that pre-order Mass Effect 2 at other retail outlets in North America will receive the potent Inferno Armor, which is used by officers to monitor battlefield conditions by recognizing elevated heart rates, and regulates sub-systems with extreme efficiency to allow for greater response times.
Does anybody know what the system requirements for the PC version will be? I'm quite confident my PC will be able to run it, but I would still like to know. Anyone?

Holy shit, I'm late to the party & just now went to my first planet on Mass Effect 1. I can't believe I held out this long on getting this game. The good part is I got it the new "non crappy - greatness is earned" platinum hits version for $20

first one is my favorite game of all time, so to say i've been counting the days till the sequel is an understatement.
