The Latest On Hironobu Sakaguchi's Next Project
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 10.19.2009

Kat Bailey on 1up.com reports that the creator of the Final Fantasy series, Hironobu Sakaguchi, resorts to playing with Legos when he gets stuck on a project. However, when talking about a Lego Surfer, he revealed to 1up.com something about his upcoming project in poetic form:

"Am I an 'idle man/, I wonder? (^^;
Well, I am just trying to pastime?
I am working hard on a new project.
Now we are being rushed into the 'finishing' stage.
No matter what, I will make it really good...."

According to Bailey, when Sakaguchi talked about a new project in the past, Sakaguchi spoke of "having seamless control of the overall direction of the game, mixed with CG spectacle scenes," and wanting to mix "RPG-type strategy and growth." Sakaguchi will apparently reveal this project before the end of the year, however, nothing concrete has yet to be announced. Sakaguchi though could still be looking to his legos for inspiration.
