New Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Promo Pulled

New promo receiving even more bad press for Activision.
According to gameindustry.biz, the latest promo for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been pulled after creating quite a stir. The promo spoofs an interest group called F.A.G.S. (Fight Against Grenade Spam).
In light of the backlash, Activision has pulled the promo. Infinity Wards Rob Bowling stated via his twitter that he thought the core of the gag was great, but that the end of the promo strays a bit far from the intent of the joke. The promo also features Philadelphia Phillies player Cole Hamels stating that fraggin randomly is "for pussies", which has even caused Game Informer employee Phillip Kollar to reconsider purchasing the game.
All of this comes hot on the heels of the leaked gameplay video featuring the killing of innocent people in an airport, and the announcement of lack of dedicated servers for the PC version of the game.
What do you think? Are the fans right to be upset over the airport video and the latest spoof? Or are people just being too sensitive?
The airport video and the grenade spam video aren't big deals. The only thing the latter video could be accused of is not being funny.
The dedicated server issue, however, is important. Dedicated servers (and custom mods) have been part of the PC gaming scene for the better part of a decade. It's how gaming communities and clans are formed. Excluding them will have repercussions as far as MW2's PC online scene is concerned.

Remind me to never attempt to meet/talk to/befriend Phillip Kollar.

People still shop at walmart without thinking to much about how their prices get to be so low, and there is never any moral outrage with walmart...so I cant imagine a bad joke in a commercial about a video game will mean much to people.
Besides after all it is a VIDEO GAME...if this Phillip Kollar guy wants to get all morally outraged about stuff there are plenty of real world issues he can champion that actually affect peoples lives; Game Informer employee or not because at the end of the day the game is still going to sell about a billion copies even if he doesn't buy one.

honestly, this whole world needs to grow a pair and stop being "tho thenthitive"
its clearly calling grenade spammers fags, but im sure its not ment to be derogative to homosexuals. honestly, saying fag to anybody and calling a gay man a fag are 2 differnt things... even if its the same meaning. its ridiculous. this is baa-baa rainbow sheep ridiculous.
