Xbox LIVE Rewards Program Begins

At least for those selected...
Last month e-mails were sent out to various subscribers regarding a rewards-type system for Xbox LIVE, though little about it was revealed. That is, until yesterday when the program launched for those selected. As it turns out, the program will reward players extra Microsoft Points (MP) when they do things like renewing subscriptions, purchasing items, participating in surveys and even for subscribing to Netflix.
Seeing as how these are typical activities of LIVE users, it should be interesting to see how long Microsoft keeps this up. The trial run is expected to last until April 30, 2010, so who knows what will change before it (assumingly) becomes available to everyone else.

Do you think the rewards program is a good idea? Would it make you purchase more from the marketplace or do you think they need to have more incentives?
