More WiiMotion Plus Talk for Zelda Wii
Posted by Jacob Lopez on 11.03.2009

According to Zelda-creator Shigeru Miyamoto, the next Wii game in the franchise will make use of the Wii Motion Plus add-on, giving players better control during swordplay and other game elements.

Speaking in a recent Q&A session in Tokyo, Miyamoto said, "In this (Zelda), we're using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you're actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand."

He added that the accessory will also come into play when aiming, rather than using the WiiRemote's IR, for what Miyamoto says will make for a "much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience."

This isn't the first time the game designer has mentioned the implementation of the accessory in the upcoming Zelda game. He said that it was something he wanted to add, but mentioned that whether or not it was a required control method would rely largely on the add-on's popularity.
