Smash TV May Be Getting a Sequel
Posted by Scott J. Simpson on 11.10.2009

In an interview with Racketboy, Eugene Jarvis and Mark Turmell (the creators of Smash TV) said that a sequel to the classic arcade game is very likely.

Both Jarvis and Turmell have expressed interest in creating a sequel to Smash TV since the game hit arcades in 1990, but for almost a decade, their hopes for a sequel never panned out. But with Warner Bros.' recent acquisition of Midway, that sequel may finally be created.

"With Warner Bros. interested in developing older IPs, Turmell expects that the sequel will be made eventually, especially considering the popularity of twin-stick shooters on XBLA and PSN."

So there you have it, the possibility of a Smash TV sequel looks very good, but only time will tell if the arcade game finally spawns a follow-up.

Damn....you guys stole all of game quotes I was thinking of! Cool news & they may as well do it since all of these XBLA/PSN games have used the dual stick control scheme. I hope they don't get stupid & try to make it a 3rd person game or something
