Layoffs Coming for Electronic Arts

According to Gamesindustry EA has stated that it will be cutting 1,500 jobs by the end of March 2010 as part of their new cost reduction plan. With the economy in the state it is, Electronic Arts is restructuring its business to focus on "higher margin opporunities" and reduce its portfolio. This will include closing several studios.

They have already started....Tiburon in Orlando laid of 51 workers yesterday

Its sad that anyone loses a job. But lets hope some entrepurer hires a bunch of these workers and lights a fire in them to create some awesome new games.
